Abstract: The ecological crisis of the 21st century highlights the breakdown of the human-nature relationship and the overcoming of seven of the nine planetary boundaries, revealing that environmental problems are, in essence, symptoms of deep human dysfunction. In this context, modern Law ? anthropocentric, dogmatic, and fragmented in its foundations ? proves structurally insufficient to respond to contemporary socioecological and climate demands, characterized by polycentricity and systemic complexity. Against this backdrop, the research formulates the following central question: how can structural litigation processes and judgments on the rights of Nature contribute to the realization of ecological juridicity in Brazil, within the framework of a socioecological judicial governance? The hypothesis holds that the interaction between the structural litigation model and the recognition of Nature as a subject of rights can overcome the modern legal paradigm toward an Ecological Rule of Law. The general objective is to identify and analyze the possible contributions of structural litigation processes and selected judgments to the realization of ecological juridicity and the configuration of a socioecological judicial governance in Brazil. The specific objectives are: to analyze the challenges of realizing the Ecological Rule of Law in the Anthropocene, in light of the theory of the metamorphosis of the world; to assess how the structural litigation model and geoinformation tools ? gathered under the concept of GeoLaw ? can enhance the instruction and decision-making in complex ecological disputes; and to systematize the contributions of Brazilian structural litigation and Colombian jurisprudence toward proposing solutions aimed at ecological juridicity. The research is bibliographic and documentary, qualitative, interdisciplinary, and hermeneutic-dialectical, and adopts a multiple case study approach in a descriptive comparative perspective, following the methodology proposed by Nitish Monebhurrum, without constituting a purely comparative law study. The cases were organized into three groups: first-instance structural litigation in Brazil, including the Coal Civil Public Action in Criciúma, the Raposa Serra do Sol Case, the Mariana and Brumadinho disasters, the Braskem Case, and the Structural Civil Public Action of Lagoa da Conceição; environmental structural proceedings at the STF, between 2015 and 2025, encompassing ADPFs 708, 709, 743, 746, 760, 857, and 991; and three paradigmatic decisions from Colombian jurisprudence ? the Atrato River, the Colombian Amazon, and the Los Nevados Natural National Park. The results confirm that the traditional adjudication model is inadequate for polycentric conflicts such as environmental ones, which require cross-sectoral plans, responsibility matrices, measurable targets, and continuous monitoring. The research identifies three critical gaps: the absence of specialized Environmental Law courts with qualified technical support; the nonexistence of structural litigation units in Federal and State Courts; and the lack of normative grounding for contextualization hearings. It is concluded that the rights of Nature and the human right to a healthy environment are complementary, since humanity is inseparable from Nature, and a dual-structure model of socioecological judicial governance is proposed, capable of inducing inter-institutional coordination, incorporating geodata into decision-making, and promoting systemic transformation in ecological structural disputes. The research was carried out under the Postgraduate Program in Law at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, with the focus area \"International Law and Sustainability\" and as a line of research \"Ecological Law and Human Rights\". It is linked to the activities developed in the project \"Constitutional Capture and Autocratic Legalism: the systematic process of weakening democratic constraints of the Brazilian Constitutional State\", as well as in the project \"The Latin American Contributions to Socioecological and Climate Litigation in the Protection of Biomes\", both funded by the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq). |
