| Title: | Controle químico de Elephantopus mollis |
| Author: | Neves, Renata Ferreira |
| Abstract: |
Elephantopus mollis (elephant's paw, sussuaiá) is frequent in areas of pastures, lawns, roadsides and vacant lots, however it is currently being found in soybean areas in the north and center of Rio Grande do Sul and also in the Plateau Santa Catarina. The objective of this work is to verify the efficiency of herbicides, registered for soybean, in the control of E. mollis in pre and postemergence. The work was carried out in a greenhouse, with two independent experiments, one with applications in pre-emergence and the other in post-emergence. Post-emergence applications were carried out at the 3 to 6 leaf stage. In pre-emergence, pendimethalin was evaluated; s-metolachlor; pyroxasulfone; flumioxazin; pyroxasulfone + flumioxazin; sulfentrazone; sulfentrazone+ diuron; saflufenacil; diclosulan, imazapic + imazapyr; clomazone and control. And in post-emergence: glyphosate; diquat; 2,4-D; chlorimuron-ethyl; imazamox; bentazon; hungersafen; saflufenacil and control, all with recommendantion for the soybean crop. At 49 days after application (DAA) in pre-emergence, it was observed that all herbicides reduced the emergence of E. mollis in relation to the control, with emphasis on flumioxazin, pyroxasulfone + flumioxazin; sulfentrazone; sulfentrazone + diuron; saflufenacil, clomazone and imazapic + imazapyr. At 35 DAA in post-emergence, only chlorimuron-ethyl, imazamox and hungersafen did not provide satisfactory control. Glyphosate, diquat, 2,4-D, bentazon and saflufenacil provided excellent control, with levels above 91%. The application in pre-emergence proved to be very efficient in reducing the infestation of E. mollis, while in post-emergence it should be noted which herbicide is being used, as the efficiency varies with the active ingredient used, however, most of the tested herbicides provided satisfactory control. |
