A produção literária para crianças em Santa Catarina: a história de um concurso

Abstract

Esta pesquisa tem por objetivo analisar a produção composta por 10 livros de literatura infantil, resultantes do Concurso de Histórias para a Infância Catarinense (1984-1985) em relação às linguagens verbais, visuais e materialidade, bem como as evidências regionais (SC) presentes, ou não, nesses títulos. Desse modo, há dois objetivos específicos, sendo eles: apresentar estudos acerca dos elementos históricos e teóricos sobre a literatura infantil catarinense e do Concurso de Histórias para a Infância Catarinense; analisar as linguagens verbais, visuais e a materialidade, bem como as evidências relativas às marcas regionais dos livros de literatura infantil estudados. A pesquisa tem caráter qualitativo, bibliográfico e documental, entendendo o livro infantil também como documento. Para tanto, historicizamos o Concurso de Histórias para a Infância Catarinense; contextualizamos historicamente a literatura infantil produzida no Brasil, e nesse contexto, a literatura produzida no estado de Santa Catarina; refletimos sobre elementos específicos a serem considerados na análise de livro infantil; analisamos as linguagens verbais, visuais e a composição material nos 10 livros e estudamos os elementos regionais destacados nas narrativas. O referencial teórico utilizado para a construção deste trabalho pautou-se nas leituras de estudiosos sobre literatura e infância, entre eles Perrotti (1986), Cademartori (2010), Lajolo e Zilberman (2007), Sachet (1985; 2012), Debus (1996), Coelho (2000), e Lauro Junkes (1992); Coelho (2000), Vale (2001) e Jardim (2001), para ajudar a pensar especificidades da linguagem verbal; Chartier (1996), Lluch (2006) e Nikolajeva (2011), que ajudaram a pensar a materialidade do livro; Linden (2011), que contribui na reflexão sobre as ilustrações; Debus (2017), Debus; Bazzo e Bortolotto (2017) e Bakhtin (2003), que contribuem sobre os conceitos literatura infantil, educação e linguagem; Laraia (2001), que contribui sobre o conceito de cultura, e Hall (2005), que discute sobre a construção da identidade; e, ainda, Olanda; Almeida (2008) e Lima (2000), estudiosas do campo da geografia e literatura. Dessa forma, concluímos que a contribuição dos livros ao pequeno leitor da época não foi referente às evidências regionais, como objetivava o Concurso, mas a possibilidade do desenvolvimento do imaginário por meio da ludicidade presente nos enredos através da linguagem verbal e visual, possibilidade de ampliação do repertório literário para as crianças que tiveram acesso aos livros. As evidências regionais fizeram-se presentes por meio do lúdico, e não de modo utilitário. O Concurso foi importante para a constituição de um repertório literário infantil produzido no estado de Santa Catarina.<br>

Abstract : This paper aims at analyzing the development of 10 children's literature books from the Concurso de Histórias para a Infância Catarinense (1984-1985) - story contest for the childhood of Santa Catarina -, regarding the verbal and visual language and materiality, as well as the presence, or not, of the regional evidences in those titles. Therefore, there are two specific objectives to this paper: presents the studies about the historical and theoretical elements regarding the catarinense child's literature and the contest; analyses the verbal and visual languages and the materiality, just as the evidences regarding the regional marks in the examined child's books. This is a qualitative, bibliographic and documental research, that understands the child's book as a document. For that, we contextualized the \"Concurso de Histórias para a Infância Catarinense\", historically contextualized the Brazilian child's literature, and, in this respect, the literature produced in the state of Santa Catarina. Also, we reflected about the specific elements that have to be considered when analyzing the child's book; we analyzed the verbal and visual language, as well as the material composition of the books, furthermore, we have studied the regional elements highlighted in the narrative. The theoretical frame in which we based this work was based upon the studies of literature and childhood years, among them Perrotti (1986), Cademartori (2010), Lajolo e Zilberman (2007), Sachet (1985; 2012), Debus (1996), Coelho (2000) and Lauro Junkes (1992); Coelho (2000), Vale (2001) and Jardim (2001), who helped thinking the verbal language particularities; Chartier (1996), Lluch (2006) e Nikolajeva (2011), who based the thinking about the books' materiality; Linden (2011), who assisted the reflection regarding illustrations; Debus (2017), Bazzo and Bortolotto (2017) and Bakhtin (2003), whose studies established the concept of child's literature, education and language; Laraia (2001), who brings the culture concept; Hall (2005), who discuss the identity's development; and Olanda; Almeida (2008) and Lima (200), who focus on geography and literature. Therefore, we realized that the books contribution for the young reader at the time wasn't about the regional evidences, as the contest aimed at, but they contributed for the imaginary, through the plot's playfulness, regarding the verbal and visual languages and the augmentation of the literary repertoire among the children who had access to the books. The regional evidences were present because of the playfulness, not in an utilitarian way. The contest was very important for the construction of a children's literary repertoire, created in the state of Santa Catarina.
