Análise das traduções dos contos "Os desastres de Sofia", "Tentação" e "A legião estrangeira" de Clarice Lispector para o espanhol

Abstract

Esta dissertação apresenta uma análise das traduções de três contos ( Os desastres de Sofia , Tentação e A legião estrangeira ) de Clarice Lispector para a língua espanhola, publicados no livro A legião estrangeira em 1964. A obra foi traduzida pela primeira vez em 1971 em Caracas, Venezuela, pela Editora Monte Ávila, posteriormente foi reeditada em 2001 sob o título Cuentos Reunidos pela Editora Alfaguara no México, asua segunda edição foi lançada em Madrid, Espanha, pela mesma editora em 2002. Em 2008, o mesmo livro foi lançado pela editora Siruela com um novo formato, capa e publicidade. Em 2011 foi lançada a tradução argentina sob o título La legión extranjera, em Buenos Aires pela Editora Corregidor. Os tradutores dessa edição são os argentinos Juan García Gayó e Paloma Vidal. Embora o objeto da pesquisa sejam quatro livros diferentes, temos apenas duas traduções (1971 e 2001). Este trabalho visa analisar as duas traduções para evidenciar como o particular estilo da autora é traduzido para o espanhol. Para isso, serão analisados seis fatores que se entendem como conformadores da escrita clariceana: infância; olhar feminino; animalidade; metamorfose; metáforas e paradoxos adjetivações; repetições e expressões linguísticas. Além disso, se analisará as escolhas a que esses seis fatores dão lugar. os tradutores trabalharão nas entrelinhas dos contos, no espaço onde colocarão suas interpretações e inferências que darão novas formas à reescrita dos contos. Para pensar as estratégias extratextuais da tradução, essa pesquisa está apoiada na teoria funcionalista de Christiane Nord (2016) e para a reflexão intratextual das traduções, apoia-se ainda na teoria de André Lefevere (2007) que defende que toda tradução é um processo de reescrita que resulta em uma nova obra sempre que relida, interpretada e traduzida por um novo (a) tradutor(a).

Abstract : This master's thesis presents the analysis of three short stories published in the book \"A legião estrangeira\" in 1964. These stories ( Os desastres de Sofia , Tentação and A legião estrangeira ) were written by Clarice Lispector and they were translated from Portuguese to Spanish. The book A legião estrangeira was translated for the first time in 1971 by Editora Monte Ávila in Caracas, Venezuela. However, it was only reprinted in 2001 under the title Cuentos Reunidos by Editora Alfaguara in Mexico and the second edition of it was released in Madrid, Spain by the same publisher in 2002. The same book, Cuentos Reunidos was released in 2008 by Siruela with a new configuration on its format, cover and advertising. Although the objective of the research is to analyze four different books, there are only two translations (1971 and 2001). The second translation was translated by two Argentinean Juan Garcia Gayo and Paloma Vidal and was released in 2011 under the title La legión extranjera in Buenos Aires by Editora Corregidor. Furthermore, this thesis will analyze the two translations focusing on how the author's particular style was translated as well as the translators choices. So, six determining factors will be part of the study, including: childhood, feminine view, animality, metamorphosis, metaphors and paradoxes, adjectives, repetitions and idiomatic expressions. Especially, because it is beneath the tales surface where the translators work, putting their interpretations and inferences where it comes to translate stories and give a new format for it. So, the functionalist theory developed by Christianne Nord (2016) will be used in order to describe the extratextual factors in translated texts and André Lefevere's (2007) theory will be used to explain the intratextual factors in translated texts because it supports the idea that all the translation is a rewriting process. In addition to it, each translation is a new work every time it is read, interpreted and translated by a new translator.
