| Abstract: |
Soybean is one of the most prominent crops in world production, and is highly dependent on adequate nutrition, especially in relation to nitrogen, to achieve better yield. Most of the nitrogen demand is accomplished through biological nitrogen fixation by the use of microorganisms of the genus Bradyrhizobium, with seed inoculation. Hence, it is possible to observe a new technique that consists of adding the microorganism to the soil, via spraying, after culture sowing, and this technique is known by reinoculation. The practice of re-inoculation seeks to increase plant nodulation, thus promoting greater yield combined with low application costs. The present work sought to evaluate the best phenological stage of the crop for the reinoculation technique to be carried out, seeking better development and greater crop yield. The experiment was conducted in the field in Curitibanos – SC, at the experimental farm of the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. The experiment was carried on in a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 6 replications T1: Seed inoculation; T2: Seed inoculation + re-inoculation at VC; T3: Seed inoculation + re-inoculation at V2; T4: Seed inoculation + re-inoculation at V4. Nodulation, mass of roots and shoots, total nitrogen of shoots and yield were evaluated. Data were subjected to analysis of variance and their differences were analyzed using the ScottKnott test with a significance level of 10%. T2 provided an increase on the total number of nodules and viable nodules of 36.25% and 50.18%, respectively. In relation to the dry mass of the aerial part, the increase was of 31.96%. A 35.29% increase on nitrogen accumulated per plant was observed, and all reinoculation treatments were superior to T1. However, crop yield values did not demonstrate significant results. Therefore, it can be concluded that re-inoculation at V4 can be a viable alternative in soybean cultivation, promoting greater nodulation, increased shoot biomass and accumulation of nitrogen in the plant. |
