Telejornais e crianças no Brasil: a ponta do iceberg

Abstract

Esta pesquisa tem por objetivo investigar a relação entre crianças e telejornal. A partir da pergunta sobre porque não haver telejornal para crianças no Brasil, o trabalho tece reflexões sobre a relação entre telejornal, ética, direitos das crianças e classificação indicativa para a televisão. Teoricamente a pesquisa está fundamentada nos estudos da Comunicação (Genro Filho, Lage, Laurindo Leal Filho, Lima, Vizeu) e da Mídia-Educação (Buckingham, Rivoltella, Duarte, Belloni, Fantin). Sistematizando estudos e pesquisas sobre telejornal e sua relação com crianças (Garzel, Delorme, Girardello, Rodrigues, Ruberti, Sampaio-Ralha, Ibarra) o trabalho analisa aspectos do "Telejornal Globinho" (Rede Globo de Televisão - 1977/1983), destacando algumas questões do consumo midiático-informacional e do consumismo que estão subjacentes ao tema. Além dos estudos teóricos e documentais, a pesquisa do tipo estudo de caso envolveu um questionário respondido por jornalistas, produtores de telejornais e pesquisadores da área com a intenção de investigar o que eles pensam sobre a produção de telejornais para as crianças. Respeitando o direito as crianças têm à informação de qualidade e considerando a participação ativa delas nesse processo, a pesquisa pretende oferecer elementos para a reflexão sobre as (im)possibilidades e/ou (des)interesses na (des)construção da produção de telejornal na televisão (em redes privadas e públicas) para crianças nos dias atuais e, sugere a importância da mediação escolar nesse processo, através das perspectivas da Mídia-Educação e, também, da Filosomídia.

This research aims at investigating the relationship between children and television news. Having as its starting point why there is no news program for children in Brazil, the dissertation reflects on the relationship among television news, ethics, rights of children and television content rating. Theoretically, the research is based on studies of Communication (Genro Filho, Lage, Laurindo Leal Filho, Lima, Vizeu) and Media Education (Buckingham, Rivoltella Belloni, Duarte, Fantin). By systematizing studies and research on television news and its relationship to children (Girardello, Delorme, Garzel, Rodrigues, Ruberti, Sampaio-Ralha, Ibarra), aspects of the #Telejornal Globinho# (Globo TV Network # 1977/1983) are analyzed, highlighting some of the features of informational media consumption and consumerism that underlie this subject. In addition to theoretical and documentary studies, the research of case study type, was also applied a questionnaire to journalists, TV news producers and researchers in order to know what they think about the production of news programs for children. Taking into account the rights children have to have access to information of quality and considering the importance of their active participation in such a process, the research provides elements to think about the (im)possibilities and/or (dis)interest in (de)construction of the production of television news (in private and public networks) for children today, and it also suggests the importance of school mediation in this process, from the perspectives of Media Education, and also of Phylosomedia.
