Abrindo o livro de memórias: considerações sobre a tradução do livro "Gedenkbuch zur jahrhundertfeier deustscher einwanderung im staate Santa Catharina"

Abstract

O presente estudo se refere à análise tradutória, com apoio na teoria de Christiane Nord, de recortes do livro Gedenkbuch zur Jahrhundertfeier deutscher Einwanderung im Staate Santa Catharina (Livro de Memórias em Comemoração ao Centenário da Imigração Alemã em Santa Catarina), composto de relatos de vivência de imigrantes e filhos de imigrantes alemães, redigidos em alemão, editado em 1929 pela Livraria Central Alberto Entres & Irmão, em Florianópolis, com o propósito de mostrar a perspectiva tradutória para textos de perfil histórico, considerando-se épocas diferentes de escritura e públicos-alvo distintos.

This research refers to the translation analysis from parts of the book #Gedenkbuch zur Jahrhundertfeier deutscher Einwanderung im Staate Santa Catharina# (#Book of memories to celebrate the centennial of the German immigration in Santa Catarina#) with the support of Christiane Nord. It presents reports of German immigrants´ life experiences, as well as their families, and was published in 1929 by Central Bookstore Alberto Entres & Irmão, in Florianopolis. The research aims to show the translation perspective for books with a historical profile, taking into consideration different periods of writing production and distinctive target audiences.
