As ideologias da heterossexualidade e da feminilidade na vida de mulheres lésbicas desfeminilizadas

Abstract

Esta dissertação investiga as manifestações das ideologias da heterossexualidade e da feminilidade na vida de mulheres lésbicas desfeminilizadas, a partir de uma perspectiva materialista das relações sociais de sexo. Parte do entendimento de que essas ideologias cumprem com funcionalidades específicas na reprodução da sociedade capitalista-patriarcal, articulando-se à divisão sexual do trabalho, ao contrato sexual e à exploração do trabalho reprodutivo, reforçando a dominação masculina. O objetivo central consiste em analisar como a vivência da lesbianidade, conjuntamente com a renúncia à reprodução da feminilidade normativa, tensiona as relações sociais de sexo e produz vivências específicas nas diversas dimensões da vida de mulheres lésbicas desfeminilizadas. Para tanto, a pesquisa possui abordagem qualitativa e caráter exploratório, fundamentada em revisão bibliográfica e na realização de entrevistas abertas e semiestruturadas com mulheres lésbicas desfeminilizadas, analisadas por meio da técnica de análise de conteúdo. A análise organiza-se a partir de diferentes dimensões da vida dessas mulheres, como a desfeminilização, as relações sociais e familiares, o mercado de trabalho, a saúde e o acesso a espaços públicos, as expressões da violência, as relações interpessoais mediadas pela heterossexualidade compulsória, o engajamento em movimentos sociais e a percepção de si. Os resultados apontam que essas mulheres ocupam uma posição de vulnerabilidade particular, uma vez que sua existência tensiona diretamente a imposição da heterossexualidade e os padrões normativos de feminilidade, resultando em situações de constrangimento, humilhação, vergonha, medo, abalos na autoestima e violências simbólicas, institucionais, físicas e sexuais. Ao mesmo tempo, demonstram que a recusa à feminilidade e à heterossexualidade revela o caráter histórico e social dessas ideologias e produz fissuras na ordem social de naturalização da opressão feminina. Conclui-se que a heterossexualidade e a feminilidade, enquanto ideologias, desempenham papel fundamental na manutenção das relações de dominação na sociedade capitalista, incidindo de forma específica sobre mulheres lésbicas desfeminilizadas, ao mesmo tempo em que sua negação constitui possibilidade de resistência e transformação social.

Abstract: This dissertation investigates the demonstrations of the ideologies of heterosexuality and femininity on the lives of non-femme lesbians, from a materialist perspective of social relations of sex. It starts from the understanding that these ideologies fulfill specific functions in the reproduction of capitalist-patriarchal society, articulating with the sexual division of labor, the sexual contract, and the exploitation of reproductive labor, reinforcing male domination. The central objective is to analyze how the experience of lesbianism together with the renunciation of normative femininity challenges social relations of sex and produces specific experiences across various dimensions of the lives of non-femme lesbians. To this end, the research adopts a qualitative and exploratory approach, based on a literature review and the conduction of open and semi-structured interviews with non-femme lesbians, analyzed through the technique of content analysis. The analysis is organized around different dimensions of these women's lives, such as defeminization, social and family relations, the labor market, health and access to public spaces, expressions of violence, interpersonal relations mediated by compulsory heterosexuality, engagement in social movements, and self-perception. The results indicate that these women occupy a position of particular vulnerability, as their existence directly challenges the imposition of heterosexuality and normative standards of femininity, resulting in situations of embarrassment, humiliation, shame, fear, impacts on self-esteem, and symbolic, institutional, physical, and sexual violence. At the same time, they demonstrate that the rejection of femininity and heterosexuality reveals the historical and social character of these ideologies and produces cracks in the social order that naturalizes female oppression. It is concluded that heterosexuality and femininity, as ideologies, play a fundamental role in maintaining relations of domination in capitalist society, specifically affecting non-femme lesbians, while their negation constitutes a possibility for resistance and social transformation.
