Discursos sobre sujeitos LGBTQIA+ em webnotícias de esporte no Brasil

Abstract

O sujeito constitui-se discursivamente no interior das complexas relações/interações socioideológicas, refletindo e refratando os signos/enunciados com os quais interage. É a partir dessa perspectiva que sujeitos LGBTQIA+ vêm sendo historicamente interpelados, em meio a arenas e lutas centrípetas e centrífugas que buscaram regular discursos sobre as homossexualidades, produzindo estigmas e práticas de controle e de violência. Esta pesquisa, inserida no campo da Linguística Aplicada contemporânea e ancorada teórico-metodologicamente nos escritos de Bakhtin e o Círculo, assume uma perspectiva dialógica da linguagem e tem como foco analisar discursos sobre sujeitos LGBTQIA+ em webnotícias de esporte publicadas no Brasil. Diante disso, partimos da seguinte questão de pesquisa: como os discursos veiculados em webnotícias de esporte no Brasil matizam projeções ideológicovalorativas sobre sujeitos LGBTQIA+? Como objetivo geral, buscamos analisar dialogicamente discursos sobre sujeitos LGBTQIA+ em webnotícias de esporte no Brasil. Para alcançar tal intuito, definiram-se os seguintes objetivos específicos: i) analisar a amplitude cronotópica de discursos sobre sujeitos LGBTQIA+ no Brasil; ii) analisar as relações dialógicas que (se) engendram nesses discursos; iii) analisar como tais discursos reverberam matizes ideológico-valorativos que legitimam e regularizam discursos outros. O corpus da pesquisa é composto por 17 webnotícias, publicadas nos portais Globo Esporte.Com, ESPN Brasil, Lance, Gazeta Esportiva e R7 Esportes. O olhar analítico lançado sobre os dados organizou-se em dois movimentos principais: a) a análise das temporalidades associadas aos sujeitos LGBTQIA+ e à mídia esportiva, na qual se discutiu: i) a grande temporalidade e os jáditos sobre os sujeitos LGBTQIA+ historicamente, até sua inscrição na esfera esportiva ii) a temporalidade imediata, cujo percurso consistiu em delinear como a mídia esportiva reporta, silencia e se posiciona discursivamente em relação aos sujeitos LGBTQIA+; b) a análise das relações dialógicas constituídas nos/pelos discursos sobre sujeitos LGBTQIA+ nas webnotícias de esporte no Brasil. No entrecruzamento desses movimentos, foi possível compreender como os discursos matizam ideológico-axiologicamente: a) o corpo LGBTQIA+ que causa estranhamento e é enunciado como ameaça; b) os sujeitos LGBTQIA+ validados pelo discurso do outro; c) a esfera da justiça como lócus de reenunciação de discursos autoritários sobre sujeitos LGBTQIA+. Os resultados obtidos, discutidos e analisados com base no arcabouço teórico-metodológico dialógico, revelam-se relevantes e colaborativo por/para a construção de inteligibilidades acerca dos sujeitos LGBTQIA+ em webnotícias de esporte brasileiras no âmbito das pesquisas sobre/de linguagem.

Abstract: The individual is discursively constituted within the complex web of socio-ideological relations and interactions, through which they reflect and refract the signs and utterances with which they engage. From this perspective, LGBTQIA+ individuals have been historically interpellated amidst centripetal and centrifugal arenas and struggles that have sought to regulate discourses on homosexuality, producing stigmatization and practices of control and violence. This research situated in the field of contemporary Applied Linguistics and theoretically and methodologically anchored in the writings of Bakhtin and the Bakhtin Circle, adopts a dialogic perspective on language and focuses on analyzing discourses about LGBTQIA+ individuals in sports web news published in Brazil. Accordingly, the following research question guides the study: How do discourses circulated in Brazilian sports web news nuance ideologicalevaluative projections about LGBTQIA+ individuals? As a general objective, the study seeks to dialogically analyze discourses about LGBTQIA+ individuals in Brazilian sports web news. To achieve this aim, the following specific objectives were established: i) to analyze the chronotopic scope of discourses about LGBTQIA+ individuals in Brazil; ii) to analyze the dialogic relations that are (self-)generated within these discourses; iii) to analyze how such discourses reverberate ideologicalevaluative nuances that legitimize and regularize other discourses. The research corpus consists of 17 web news articles, published on the portals Globo Esporte.Com, ESPN Brasil, Lance, Gazeta Esportiva, and R7 Esportes. The analytical approach was organized into two main movements: a) the analysis of temporalities associated with LGBTQIA+ individuals and sports media, in which the discussion addressed: i) the grand temporality and the already-said about LGBTQIA+ individuals historically, up to their inscription within the sports sphere; ii) the immediate temporality, whose trajectory consisted in outlining how sports media report on, silence, and discursively position themselves in relation to LGBTQIA+ individuals; b) the analysis of the dialogic relations constituted in/by discourses about LGBTQIA+ individuals in Brazilian sports web news. At the intersection of these movements, it was possible to understand how discourses ideologically and axiologically nuance: a) the LGBTQIA+ body, which produces estrangement and is enunciated as a threat; b) LGBTQIA+ individuals validated through the discourse of the other; c) the sphere of justice, conceived as a locus for the re-articulation of authoritarian discourses about LGBTQIA+ individuals. The results obtained, discussed, and analyzed based on the dialogic theoretical-methodological framework, prove to be relevant and collaborative for the construction of intelligibility regarding LGBTQIA+ individuals in Brazilian sports web news within language-related research.
