Políticas linguísticas das línguas bantu em Moçambique: o caso do Cinyungwe e do Cinyanja na Província de Tete

Abstract

A presente pesquisa sobre políticas linguísticas das línguas bantu em Moçambique foca o estudo das políticas das línguas Cinyungwe e Cinyanja na Província de Tete. Tem como objetivo geral analisar o uso das línguas Cinyungwe e Cinyanja na vida das populações na Província de Tete, em Moçambique. Os objetivos específicos são: apresentar e discorrer sobre a política linguística governamental de Moçambique voltada para as línguas bantu moçambicanas; apresentar e analisar a situação sociolinguística do Cinyungwe e Cinyanja na Província de Tete, em Moçambique, com enfoque maior na esfera escolar; e revisar abordagens teóricas em políticas linguísticas voltadas para contextos africanos e multilíngues, a partir do contexto linguístico de Tete como referência. Será dada maior atenção à esfera educacional, com enfoque no ensino básico, envolvendo professores e alunos, e no ensino superior (Universidade Púnguè). Metodologicamente, a pesquisa tem caráter qualitivativo, bibliográfico e documental, compreendendo um levantamento de referências bibliográficas e de documentos envolvendo políticas linguísticas em Moçambique e na Província de Tete, e a realização de entrevistas e anotações de campo a partir da minha posicionalidade como moçambicano nos contextos analisados ? mais especificamente nas cidades de Tete, Moatize e Angónia. Como resultados a pesquisa poderá contribuir na valorização de identidades linguísticas moçambicanas. Ainda contribui para a valorização das línguas locais. Abstract: Abstract The present research on linguistic policies of Bantu languages in Mozambique focuses on the study of the language policies of Cinyungwe and Cinyanja in the Tete Province, falling within the fields of Sociolinguistics and Dialectology, specifically the Research Line of Linguistic Policies. Its general objective is to analyze the use of Cinyungwe and Cinyanja in bilingual education and its impact on the lives of the populations in Tete Province, Mozambique. The specific objectives are: to present and discuss the government linguistic policy of Mozambique aimed at Mozambican Bantu languages; to present and analyze the sociolinguistic situation of Cinyungwe and Cinyanja in Tete Province, Mozambique, with a greater focus on the school environment; and to review theoretical approaches to linguistic policies aimed at African and multilingual contexts, using the linguistic context of Tete as a reference. Greater attention will be given to the educational sphere, focusing on basic education, involving teachers and. students, and in higher education (Púnguè University). Methodologically, the research has a qualitative, bibliographic, and documentary character, encompassing a survey of bibliographic references and documents involving language policies in Mozambique and in Tete Province, as well as conducting interviews and field notes based on my positionality as a Mozambican in the analyzed contexts ? more specifically in the cities of Tete, Moatize, and Angónia. As a result, the research may contribute to the construction of linguistic identities within social, cultural, and economic spheres. It also contributes to the appreciation of local languages.
