Garlic (Allium sativum) is a vegetable of great importance in the agricultural scenario of small properties and family farming. However, it faces challenges in weed management due to the scarcity of registered herbicides and the sensitivity of the garlic plant, limiting factors in its production. The aim of this study was to evaluate weed control of wild radish (Raphanus raphanistrum) and herbicide selectivity in post-emergence in garlic cultivation. The experiment was conducted in a commercial area at Rika Agribusiness company, using a randomized block design with nine treatments and four replications, with applications made in post-emergence of garlic. The herbicides tested were ioxynil (75g ha-1 ), ioxynil + pendimethalin (75g +1820g ha-1 ), ioxynil + pyroxasulfone (75g +100g ha-1 ), fomesafen (37.5g ha-1 ), fomesafen (75g ha-1 ), s-metolachlor + fomesafen (258.9g + 56.9g ha-1 ), prometryne (250g ha-1 ), in addition to one weedy and one weeded control. Each treatment received three postemergence applications of garlic. Weed control percentage, phytotoxicity percentage at 7 and 15 days after each application, plant height, and garlic yield were evaluated. In the experimental area, the predominant weed was wild radish. The herbicides influenced garlic cultivation in various ways. Treatments with fomesafen resulted in excellent control over wild radish; however, there was phytotoxicity causing high levels of injury to the garlic plants, which affected productivity. The best weed control, lower phytotoxicity of garlic plants, larger bulb size, and higher yield were achieved with treatments containing ioxynil, ioxynil + pendimethalin, and ioxynil + pyroxasulfone.
