Estrutura oracional e transitividade na libras

Abstract

A presente pesquisa apresenta uma análise da estrutura oracional e transitividade na Libras. As pesquisas que antecedem nossas análises identificaram a ordem básica S (sujeito), V (verbo), O (objeto) na Libras com argumentos realizados (Quadros, 1999; Royer, 2019). Nesta pesquisa, avançamos nas análises a partir de dados do Corpus de Libras, projeto do Inventário Nacional da Libras (Quadros, 2016a; 2016b; 2016c; Quadros et al. 2017a; 2017b; 2017c). Utilizamos as transcrições já existentes, complementadas com análises relativas às propostas da presente pesquisa, e relacionamos os resultados das análises com referências teóricas fim descritivo. A proposta passou a incluir análises a partir da análise dos diferentes tipos de verbos da Libras, considerando a transitividade destes verbos a partir das ocorrências observadas nos dados de produções de Surdos de Referência, surdos que são considerados representantes das comunidades surdas do país. A nossa pesquisa agora se expande para incluir outras possíveis especificações de argumentos e argumentos nulos, omissão e incorporação verbal. Após um período de mais de 27 anos desde a pesquisa de Ferreira-Brito (1995), que representou os estudos iniciais sobre os primeiros aspectos da estrutura da Libras, avançamos nas pesquisas com a língua de sinais. Nosso objetivo foi analisar a transitividade dos verbos para compreender mais sobre a estrutura da ordem das palavras, englobando seis implicações possíveis de sujeito (S), objeto (O) e verbo (V). Além disso, buscamos identificar os tipos de verbos sob a perspectiva da linguística funcionalista, considerando as ordenações das palavras na Libras. Ao comparar as estruturas sinalizadas pelos participantes, confirmamos a presença de argumentos nulos, omissões e incorporações como elementos constituintes das estruturas oracionais na Libras. Em destaque, identificamos o papel gramatical dos tipos de verbos da Libras e da transitividade dos verbos na composição da estrutura da frase na Libras.

Abstract: This research presents an analysis of clause structure and transitivity in Libras. The research that preceded our analyzes identified the basic order S (subject), V (verb), O (object) in Libras with realized arguments (Quadros, 1999; Royer, 2019). In this research, we advanced in the analysis based on data from the Corpus de Libras, a project of the National Libras Inventory (Quadros, 2016a; 2016b; 2016c; Quadros et al. 2017a; 2017b; 2017c). We used existing transcripts, complemented with analysis related to the proposals of this research, and related the results of analysis with theoretical references for descriptive purposes. The proposal now includes analyzes based on the analysis of the different types of verbs in Libras, considering the transitivity of these verbs based on the occurrences observed in the data of productions by Surdos de Referência, deaf people who are considered representatives of the deaf communities in the country. Our research now expands to include other possible specifications of arguments and null arguments, omission and verbal incorporation. After a period of more than 27 years since the research by Ferreira-Brito (1995), which represented the initial studies on the first aspects of the Libras structure, we have advanced in research with sign language. Our objective was to analyze the transitivity of verbs to understand more about the structure of word order, encompassing six possible implications of subject (S), object (O) and verb (V). In addition, we seek to identify the types of verbs from the perspective of functionalist linguistics, considering the ordering of words in Libras. By comparing the structures indicated by the participants, we confirmed the presence of null arguments, omissions and incorporations as constituent elements of clause structures in Libras. In highlight, we identified the grammatical role of the types of verbs in Libras and the transitivity of verbs in the composition of sentence structure in Libras.
