Um olhar das especialistas sobre a contemporaneidade e a criticidade do tema diversidade cultural e currículo

Abstract

Esta pesquisa surgiu a partir da seguinte questão: como é tratada a temática da diversidade cultural dentro do currículo da rede municipal de ensino de Florianópolis/SC, sob a perspectiva dos especialistas em assuntos educacionais? Ela tem, por objetivo geral, compreender o trabalho das especialistas em assuntos educacionais no trato da temática da diversidade cultural, por meio da observação do currículo nas escolas da rede municipal de ensino de Florianópolis/SC. Entre os objetivos específicos desta pesquisa, estão: entender como acontece a formação de professores da rede municipal de ensino, com relação ao respeito à diversidade cultural; refletir sobre como o currículo escolar influencia e inspira a articulação do tema da diversidade cultural no ambiente escolar; e compreender, a partir do olhar das especialistas em assuntos educacionais, como a desigualdade social interfere no acesso e nas oportunidades às experiências culturais diversificadas entre os alunos da rede municipal de ensino de Florianópolis/SC. Para isso, foram realizadas nove entrevistas com especialistas da rede de ensino municipal de Florianópolis/SC, destacando-se a temática de diversidade cultural nos currículos das escolas da rede. Além disso, foram analisados documentos oficiais que regem o sistema de educação no país e na cidade, como a LDB, a proposta curricular de Florianópolis, entre outros. Após a coleta de dados, foi construída uma análise crítica, na qual se relacionam as temáticas estudadas com a realidade observada no âmbito da rede municipal de ensino de Florianópolis, sob o olhar das entrevistadas. Com esta pesquisa, conseguiu-se compreender: como se dá a construção do currículo na escola pública; como essa diversidade cultural aparece entre os docentes, na escola e nas discussões entre os profissionais da rede; como a rede municipal trabalha com a questão da diversidade cultural em suas formações e projetos; se há o acesso a outros espaços culturais para os estudantes da rede municipal fora da escola; e como a desigualdade social interfere nesse acesso.

Abstract: This study arose from the following question: how is cultural diversity treated within the curriculum of the municipal school system in Florianópolis/SC from the perspective of education specialists? Its general objective is to understand the work of education specialists in dealing with themes of cultural diversity through the observation of the curriculum in schools in the municipal education network of Florianópolis/SC. Among the specific objectives of this research are: to understand how the training of teachers in the municipal school system takes places, focusing on cultural diversity; to reflect on how the school curriculum influences and inspires the articulation of cultural diversity themes in the school?s environment; and to understand, from the point of view of specialists in educational matters, how social inequality interferes with access and opportunities to diversified cultural experiences among students in the municipal school system in Florianópolis/SC. For that, nine interviews were made with specialists from the municipal school system of Florianópolis/SC, highlighting the issue of cultural diversity in the curriculum of schools in the network. Also, the study analyzed the official documents that rule the education system in the country and in the city, such as the LDB, the curriculum proposal of Florianópolis, among others. After the data collection, a critical analysis was built, in which the studied themes are related to the reality observed within the municipal education network of Florianópolis, under the eyes of the interviewees. With this research, it was possible to understand: how the construction of the curriculum in public schools is made; how this cultural diversity appears among teachers, at school and in discussions among network professionals; how the municipal network works with cultural diversity in its training and projects; whether there is access to other cultural spaces for students from the municipal network outside the school; and how social inequality interferes with this access.
