Soil is a fundamental component in the structuring of an agricultural ecosystem, since it is where the other components are structured. However, this landscape has been changing in the region for some years, with the opening of new areas for agriculture, especially with producers who work in the leasing system, where part of the fields located in relief conditions that allow mechanization are explored with agricultural activities. The study aimed to identify the main classes of soils existing in the municipality, as well as how they have been used, with a critical analysis, because they are fragile soils (those with organic horizon O Hístico). Analytical data from the Soil Survey of the State of Rio Grande do Sul and also from the legend of the Soil Map of the State of Rio Grande do Sul, from IBGE. neighborhoods close to the municipal seat with an approximate diameter of 25 kilometers. With the analytical data and the opening of the profiles, the probable classes of soils existing there were identified. On the same path, the uses of these soils were also observed. of Litholic Histic Neosols, Litholic Humic Neosols, Dystrophic Regolithic Neosols, Folic Sapric Organosols, Aluminum Humic Cambisols and Aluminum Histic Cambisols and uses with native pastures, homogeneous stands of pine, fruit growing in a temperate climate with apple trees, crops with soybeans, corn, kale, broccoli and potatoes, the latter two being recently disseminated in the region, with intensive use of the soil. The cultivations are carried out in soils with an O Hístico horizon, which are very fragile to conventional soil preparations because they oxidize the organic material, condemning its existence over time. The homogeneous stands of Pinus are also very widespread in the region, both in Humic and Histic soils, having less impact than annual crops, in terms of erosion. The other cultures show expression in the Humic soils, less fragile than the Histics and, generally, in milder reliefs, although sloping. |
