Mídias cinematográficas e hermenêutica junguiana: como se dá a disseminação do conhecimento ao longo da jornada do herói através do filme Matrix

Abstract

O foco desta dissertação traz o uso da hermenêutica junguiana para interpretação da mídia do conhecimento cinematográfica, a qual representa um potencial instrumento de consciência e educação. Percebe-se a mídia cinematográfica cada vez mais como uma constante na vida da maioria das pessoas, senão todas. Cada vez mais roteiristas e diretores(as) apropriam-se dos conhecimentos mitológicos e apresentam suas obras através das imagens arquetípicas e dos símbolos. Acredita-se que quanto maior o uso de imagens arquetípicas, mais sucesso terá. A razão disso é a conexão que as pessoas sentem com os arquétipos que fazem parte de sua vida, mesmo que inconscientemente. Utilizou-se como exemplo o filme Matriz. O processo de autorrealização está perfeitamente ilustrado no enredo de Matrix, o filme inicial da trilogia. Nele, é possível acompanhar o herói desde o início de sua aventura: as crises que levam ao despertar, o autoconhecimento, os conflitos internos, a assimilação dos conteúdos inconscientes, a autossabotagem, a experiência do amor, a morte e o renascimento. Em muitos filmes se vê a estrutura do mito da jornada do herói de modo muito preciso e em Matrix essa estrutura se mostra perfeitamente. Trata-se de uma interpretação analítica segundo a perspectiva da psicologia profunda de Jung. Estabeleceram-se os seguintes objetivos específicos: 1) Interpretar o filme Matrix dentro da perspectiva junguiana; 2) Identificar quais conhecimentos essa representação cinematográfica dissemina; 3) Analisar quais conhecimentos esta representação cinematográfica dissemina; 4) Avaliar se esta mídia cinematográfica proporciona conhecimento sobre Si-mesmo. Como resultado obtido, pode-se afirmar que esta mídia cinematográfica pode ser uma ferramenta para o autoconhecimento, bem como para a educação. Ademais, ela gera e dissemina conhecimento, especialmente um conhecimento mitológico, consequentemente, proporciona conhecimento sobre Si-mesmo.

Abstract: The focus of this dissertation brings the use of Jungian hermeneutics for cinematographic media interpretation, which represents a potential instrument of awareness and education. Cinematographic media is increasingly perceived as a constant in most people?s lives, if not all. More and more screenwriters and directors? appropriate mythological knowledge and present their works through archetypal images and symbols. It is believed that the greater the use of archetypal imagery, the more successful it will be. The reason for this is the connection people feel with the archetypes that are part of their lives, even if unconsciously. We use, as an example, the movie Matrix. The process of self-realization is perfectly illustrated in the plot of The Matrix, the opening film of the trilogy. In it, we follow the hero from the beginning of his adventure: the crises that lead to awakening, self-knowledge, internal conflicts, the assimilation of unconscious contents, self-sabotage, the experience of love, death, and rebirth. In many movies we see the structure of the hero's journey myth so precisely and in The Matrix this structure shows itself perfectly. It is an analytical interpretation from the perspective of Jung?s depth psychology. The following specific objectives were established: 1) To interpret the Matrix film from a Jungian perspective; 2) Identify what knowledge this cinematographic representation disseminates; 3) Analyze what knowledge this cinematographic representation disseminates; 4) Evaluate whether this cinematographic media provides knowledge about the Self. As a result, we can affirm that this cinematographic media can be a tool for self-knowledge, as well as for education. Furthermore, it generates and disseminates knowledge, especially mythological knowledge, consequently it provides knowledge about the Self.
