Variações da gramática neoliberal: trajetórias textuais em mídias digitais de três representantes partidários no Brasil

Abstract

Esta dissertação trata da investigação da variação de uma gramática neoliberal nas mídias sociais a partir de três representantes partidários eleitos no processo eleitoral brasileiro de 2018, a saber, Vinicius Poit (NOVO/SP), Felipe Francischini (PSL/PR) e Luisa Canziani (PTB/PR). Assumo, nesta pesquisa, que o neoliberalismo ultrapassa a esfera econômica, atuando na construção de identidades sociais, mais especificamente, em identidades linguísticas político-partidárias. A gramática neoliberal, nesse sentido, são padrões gramaticais performativos decorrentes da expansão das mídias digitais, as quais são resultado do processo de globalização. A base metodológica utilizada foi a etnografia digital, a qual permitiu a coleta de dados empíricos retirados das mídias sociais twitter, instagram e youtube a partir do ano de 2018 de três representantes partidários bem como os documentos oficiais dos partidos aos quais são filiados que lançam as diretrizes partidárias. Essa investigação permitirá responder às questões sobre como os usuários indexicalizam uma gramática neoliberal e como essa gramática descortina a identidade da nova direita político-partidária no Brasil. Os resultados apontam para i) padrões gramaticais performativos regidos por enunciados linguísticos não espontâneos; ii) para uma variação na gramática neoliberal dos representantes partidários analisados configurando padrões do tipo [+/- liberal], [+/- conservador], [+/- polido] e [+/- inovador]; iii) consonância entre os representantes partidários e os documentos oficiais de seus respectivos partidos.

Abstract: This dissertation deals with the investigation of the variation of a neoliberal grammar in social media from three party representatives elected in the 2018 Brazilian electoral process, namely, Vinicius Poit (NOVO/SP), Felipe Francischini (PSL/PR) and Luisa Canziani (PTB/PR). I assume, in this research, that neoliberalism goes beyond the economic sphere, acting in the construction of social identities, more specifically, in party-political linguistic identities. Neoliberal grammars, in this sense, are performative grammatical patterns arising from the expansion of digital media, which are a result of the globalization process. The methodological basis used was digital ethnography, which allowed the collection of empirical data taken from the social media twitter, instagram and youtube from the year 2018 of three party representatives as well as the official documents of the parties to which they are affiliated that release party guidelines. This investigation will allow us to answer the questions about how users indexicalize a neoliberal grammar and how this grammar unveils the identity of the new party-political right in Brazil. The results point to i) performative grammatical patterns governed by non-spontaneous linguistic utterances; ii) a variation in the neoliberal grammar of the analyzed party representatives configuring patterns of the type [+/- liberal], [+/- conservative], [+/- polished] and [+/- innovative]; iii) consonance between the party representatives and the official documents of their respective parties.
