Uma leitura de La invención de Morel, de A. Bioy Casares, a partir da problemática do olhar

Abstract

Esta dissertação investiga a importância do aspecto visual no romance La invención de Morel (1940), de Adolfo Bioy Casares, a partir da problemática do olhar. Comenta-se a poética bioycasareana da imaginación razonada à luz do fantástico rio-platense de vertente cientificista, destacando a interface com a arte cinematográfica. Os conceitos de \"percepção\" e \"realidade\", base do enfoque teórico do fantástico, são examinados a partir do debate sobre a verossimilhança. A análise literária da obra em questão é fundamentada pela perspectiva stricto sensu do fantástico literário e por outros aportes que dialogam com o tema do olhar. Este trabalho propõe uma chave de leitura para La invención de Morel amparada na \"rede de olhares\" constelada ao longo da narrativa. Para tanto, esta dissertação está dividida em quatro partes e é amparada por marcos teóricos tais como: i) o debate sobre a renovação do fantástico rio-platense na década de 1940; ii) a crítica ao conceito de \"percepção\" - tal como trabalhado no debate do fantástico literário; iii) o debate sobre a eternidade a partir da potencialidade técnica do cinema e; iv) a questão da intertextualidade como espelhamento da linguagem.

Abstract: This dissertation investigates the importance of the visual aspect in the novel La invención de Morel (1940), by Adolfo Bioy Casares, from the problematic of the look. The bioycasarean poetics, la imaginación razonada, is commented in the light of the scientificist rioplatense fantastic, highlighting the interface with cinematic art. The concepts of \"perception\" and \"reality\", the basis of the theoretical approach of the fantastic, are examined from the debate on verisimilitude. The literary analysis of that novel is based on the stricto sensu perspective of the literary fantastic and on other contributions that dialogue with the theme of the look. This work proposes a reading key for Morel's invention supported by the \"network of looks\" constellated throughout the narrative. This dissertation is divided into four parts and is supported by theoretical frameworks such as: i) the debate on the renewal of the rioplatense fantastic in the 1940s; ii) the critique of the concept of \"perception\" - as worked on in the debate of the literary fantastic; iii) the debate on eternity from the technical potentiality of cinema and; iv) the question of intertextuality as a mirror of language.
