Sinal datilológico em libras

Abstract

O presente trabalho trata dos sinais datilológicos em Libras; esses definidos como um léxico formado por datilologia e que possuem diversas maneiras de articulação, constituindo-se por regularidades características e peculiares dessa língua. Na introdução explicitam-se os objetivos da pesquisa os quais comparam entre a forma canônica do alfabeto manual e a acomodação fonológica das entradas de verbetes com sinais datilológicos do Dicionário Digital da Libras. Nesse sentido, também objetiva-se: definir classificações desses sinais datilológicos dicionarizados em categorias relacionadas aos processos fonético-fonológicos. Logo em seguida, é descrita a fundamentação teórica tratando-se da concepção de fonologia das línguas de sinais, descrição sequencial de segmentos, empréstimo linguístico, datilologia, coarticulação entre datilologia e sinal datilológico. Como metodologia do trabalho abordaram-se elementos quantitativos e qualitativos, apresentando o procedimento de coleta de dados e análise. Houve a identificação de 147 sinais datilológicos no Dicionário Digital da Libras usados para análise descritiva de comparação seguindo o modelo de Battison (1978), sobre o Perfil de Reestruturação. Houve a realização da acomodação fonológica dos dados colhidos, para definir os seus tipos de coarticulação, podendo ser antecipatória e perseveratória (WILCOX, 1992; CHANNER, 2012). O resultado da pesquisa apresenta uma síntese da quantidade de sinais datilológicos analisados que sofreram mudança fonológica e o número de ocorrências de produção de categorias de Perfil de Reestruturação de Battison (1978). Além disso, o resultado mostra uma breve descrição de processos fonético-fonológicos e suas classificações de sinais datilológicos analisados em diversos tipos de categorias. Na conclusão, o trabalho demonstrou as categorizações de sinais datilológicos dicionarizados relacionados aos processos fonético-fonológicos. Tais sinais datilológicos são de uso constante na Libras, sendo uma área ampla a ser explorada por demais pesquisadores. Considera-se a pesquisa relevante pela contribuição linguística na área, além do registro e documentação, promotores da valorização da comunidade surda.

Abstract: The current study addresses fingerspelled sign in Libras defined as a lexicon formed by fingerspelling that has several ways of articulation, being a peculiar characteristic of this language. At introduction the objectives of the research are specified as the comparison between the quotation way or the canonical manual alphabet and the phonological accommodation of the fingerspelled sign entries from the Digital Dictionary of Libras. In this regard, defining categories related to the phonetic-phonologic processes for these fingerspelled signs from dictionaries is also an objective. After that, the theoretical foundation is described consisting on the concept of phonology for sign languages, sequential description of segments, linguistic loan, fingerspelling, coarticulation in fingerspelling and fingerspelled sign. As the methodology of the work, quantitative and qualitative elements were addressed, presenting the data collection procedure and analysis. There was the discovery of 147 fingerspelled signs in the Digital Dictionary of Libras, used to a descriptive analysis of comparison according to Battison?s (1978) role model, about the Restructuring Profile. There was the realization of the phonological accommodation of the collected data to define its types of coarticulation that may be anticipatory or perseveratory (WILCOX, 1992). The result of the research presents a sample of the number of analyzed fingerspelled signs that suffered phonological alterations and the number of occurrences of categoricals production of Battison?s (1978) Restructuring Profile. The research result presents a brief phonetic-phonological processes conception and its fingerspelled signs classification analyzed in different category types. At last, on conclusion, the study demonstrated the categorization of the fingerspelled signs from dictionaries related to the phonetic-phonological processes. These fingerspelled signs are of constant use in Libras, which means this is a wide field to be explored by other researchers. The research is considered relevant for its contribution to the linguistic field, aside from the registration and documentation that cause the deaf community appreciation.
