A horta escolar como recurso didático para a reeducação alimentar e nutricional

Abstract

O referido trabalho retrata as ações desenvolvidas por meio do projeto de extensão intitulado: “A horta escolar como recurso didático para a reeducação alimentar e nutricional”. Trata-se da implantação de uma horta na Escola de Educação Básica Embaixador Edmundo da Luz Pinto, localizada no município de Curitibanos/SC. O projeto contou com a participação de vinte e um (21) alunos do 5º ano do ensino fundamental, a aplicação do projeto ocorreu de março a dezembro de 2017. O principal objetivo deste trabalho foi incentivar os alunos buscar uma mudança nos seus hábitos alimentares, a partir do incremento de hortaliças, alcançando desta forma uma alimentação mais saudável. Às segundas-feiras oficinas expositivas foram desenvolvidas. Essas oficinas foram realizadas com o auxilio do PowerPoint, do quadro branco e televisão, onde foram expostas imagens, vídeos, desenhos esquemáticos e textos para que os alunos fixassem os conhecimentos fornecidos. Atividades avaliativas eram aplicadas aos alunos após a explicação de cada conteúdo, que incluía desenhos, cartazes, textos e dinâmicas. Durante o andamento do trabalho os alunos realizaram atividades rotineiras como o plantio e a rega das hortaliças, retirada de plantas daninhas, observação do desenvolvimento das plantas e a colheita na horta. Além disso, realizou-se a montagem de uma cisterna para captação da água da chuva na escola, reuniões com os pais dos alunos envolvidos e a integração da UFSC – Campus de Curitibanos com a comunidade local através do trabalho realizado na referida escola. O projeto contribuiu para a mudança nos hábitos alimentares visto que após nove meses de realização do projeto os alunos envolvidos relataram que acrescentaram as hortaliças em sua alimentação diária.

This work describes the actions developed through the extension project titled: "The school garden as a didactic resource for food and nutritional reeducation". This is the implementation of a vegetable garden in the School of Basic Education Ambassador Edmundo da Luz Pinto, located in the municipality of Curitibanos / SC. The project had the participation of twenty-one (21) students of the fifth year of elementary school, the application of the project occurred from March to December 2017. The main objective of this work was to encourage students to seek a change in their eating habits, from the increment of vegetables, thus achieving a healthier diet. Mondays exposure workshops were developed. These workshops were carried out with the aid of PowerPoint, whiteboard and television, where images, videos, schematic drawings and texts were displayed for students to fix the knowledge provided. Evaluative activities were applied to the students after the explanation of each content, which included drawings, posters, texts and dynamics. During the course of the work the students performed routine activities such as planting and irrigating vegetables, weed withdrawal, observation of the development of plants and harvesting in the garden. In addition, a rainwater harvesting cistern was set up at the school, meetings were held with the parents of the students involved and the integration of the UFSC - Curitibanos Campus with the local community through the work carried out at that school. The project contributed to the change in eating habits since after nine months of the project the students involved reported that they added the vegetables in their daily diet.
