Teologia da libertação e marxismo: religião e lutas emancipatórias

Abstract

O presente trabalho foi desenvolvido por meio de pesquisa bibliográfica e análise teórico-crítica com o objetivo de compreender a relação da Teologia da Libertação com o marxismo e a influência desse movimento na organização das lutas populares em nosso continente latino-americano, particularmente, na Revolução Sandinista, nas lutas revolucionárias em El Salvador e no surgimento do MST no Brasil. Embora a primeira vista pareça pouco provável se fazer relação entre marxismo e religião, a Teologia da Libertação é resultado em grande parte de uma afinidade entre essas duas teorias. No decorrer do trabalho tratamos do desenvolvimento da Teologia da Libertação na América Latina, com foco principalmente no Brasil, e a relação com a questão do capitalismo dependente latino-americano. Abordamos ainda a questão da religião em Marx, compreendendo as categorias alienação e ideologia, além da relação entre religião, socialismo e emancipação humana. Por fim, tratamos das lutas revolucionárias da América Latina em que a Teologia da Libertação esteve diretamente envolvida. Compreendendo que a Teologia da Libertação em convergência com o marxismo possibilitou um processo que culminou em um dos principais fatores de transformação social do século XX em nosso continente.

Abstract : The present work was developed by means of literature review and critical-theoretical analysis with the aim of understanding the relation of the liberation theology with the Marxism and the influence of this activity in the organization of the popular struggles in our continent Latin-American, specially, in the Sandinista Revolution, in the revolutionary fights in El Salvador and the emergence of MST on Brazil. Although the first sight seems unlikely the relationship between the Marxism and religion, the liberation theology is effect largely of an affinity between these two theories. During this work, we treat the liberation theology development in the Latin America, mainly focused on Brazil, and the relation with the Latin America dependent capitalism question. We also address the issue of the religion in Marx, comprising the categories alienation and ideology, further the relationship between religion, socialism and human emancipation. Lastly, we are dealing with the revolutionary struggles of Latin America on what he Liberation Theology was directly involved. Understanding that the Liberation Theology in convergence with the Marxism enable a process that culminated in one of the mains factors of social transformation of the 20th century in our continent.
