O espaço alimentar e seu papel na socialização da infância: o caso de uma creche pública

Abstract

Os momentos destinados à alimentação na creche representam o principal eixo norteador da rotina institucional da educação infantil, sobretudo naquelas de atendimento integral. Legitimado pelos campos da educação e da saúde, o espaço alimentar, nestas instituições, é reconhecido como central na formação do gosto ou, do hábito, e na incorporação de normas e valores culturais. Trata-se de um espaço social, de um lugar em que coexistem diferentes agentes, ocupantes de posições sociais distintas e distintivas entre si e que tendem a fabricar diversificados tipos de relações sociais. Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo apresentar a rotina alimentar na educação infantil sob outro aspecto: vista a partir das relações sociais, estabelecidas entre os diferentes agentes que integram o espaço alimentar. Na creche investigada, o refeitório é um lugar no qual a criança, em contato com seus pares, tem a possibilidade de se constituir como indivíduo e membro de um determinado grupo social. Um espaço em que se efetiva um determinado tipo de transmissão e conformação à norma e que configura uma educação tradicional, baseada na imposição e legitimação de um arbitrário cultural. Pelas brincadeiras e maneiras astutas de uso das regras, a criança aprende seu .ofício de aluno.. Desta forma, para além de uma preocupação dietética com a questão alimentar, o espaço da alimentação é, neste estudo, percebido como lugar privilegiado de socialização da infância.

The moments destined to the alimentation in the day-care center represent the main guiding axis of the institutional routine of the early childhood education, especially those of integral attendance. Legitimated by the fields of the education and the health, the alimentary space, in these institutions, is recognized as central in the formation of the taste or, of the habit, and in the incorporation of norms and cultural values. It is a social space, a place where different agents coexist, occupants of social positions that are distinct and distinctive between it and that tend to fabricate diversified types of social relations. This research has as objective to present the alimentary routine in the early childhood education under another aspect: view from the social relations, established between the different agents who integrate the alimentary space. In day-care center investigated, the refectory is a place where the child, in contact with their peers, has the possibility of constitute itself as individual and member of one determined social group. A space where is realized a particular type of transmission and conformation to the norm that it configures a traditional education, based on the imposition and legitimation of a cultural arbitrary. By the play and clever ways to use the rules, the child learns his .métier of pupil.. In such a way, for beyond a dietary concern with the alimentary question, the space of the feeding is, in this study, perceived as privileged place of childhood socialization.
