Abstract: This doctoral thesis, developed within the Sociology and History of Education research line of the Postgraduate Program in Education (UFSC), aims to investigate the development of the Intercultural Indigenous Teacher Training Course of the Southern Atlantic Forest (LII/UFSC), pedagogical practices and actions involving the theme of ancestry and memory of the Guarani people, between the years 2011 and 2025, considering the specificities of each of the three classes, focusing on the training of Guarani teachers. The research analyzed: curricula, regulations, course syllabi, documentation, reports, Final Course Projects; books from the Indigenous Knowledge in Schools Action; Political Pedagogical Projects/Course; and accounts of experiences from Guarani teachers and students. Oral history procedures were used to collect the narratives. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with three course teachers and five Guarani students who had already graduated. Oral narratives were organized in a monad format, following Walter Benjamin's methodology. I engaged in dialogue with the authors: Daniel Munduruku, Gersem Baniwa; Ailton Krenak; Rita Gomes do Nascimento; João Pacheco Oliveira; Maria Aparecida Bergamaschi; Bartomeu Melià; Egon Schaden; Walter Benjamin; Zulma Palermo; Catherine Walsh, among others. As a result of this research, I highlighted the pedagogical actions and practices in the training of Guarani teachers based on the recognition of the memories, ancestry, histories, and ancestral knowledge of their people. I highlighted the narratives that speak about activities in University Time and Community Time, in field trips, in disciplines with activities in and out of the classroom, and in Indigenous Lands with the participation of tcheramõi/xeramõi and tchedjaryi/xejaryi (elders), and I also analyzed the Course Completion Papers. In this way, I sought to highlight what has already been done, while also providing an opportunity to reflect on the challenges and potential of the course. |
