| Abstract: |
Abstract: This dissertation aimed to analyze Working Group 16 (Education and Communication) of the Brazilian National Association of Graduate Studies and Research in Education (ANPEd) regarding studies that address the relationship between education and technologies during the pandemic and post-pandemic period. Specifically, it sought to map and analyze the scientific production of this Working Group in the national ANPEd meetings held in 2021, 2023, and 2025. To achieve these objectives, the methodological procedures employed included the state-of-knowledge approach and a literature review focused on the theme. Concerning data analysis, the study adopted the historical-dialectical materialist method.Authors such as Ricardo Antunes, Roberto Leher, Newton Duarte, Joana Peixoto, Allan Kenji Seki, Luis Carlos de Freitas, Acácia Kuenzer, Eneida Shiroma, and Olinda Evangelista provided the theoretical foundation for a critical analysis of the presence of technologies in the educational field and their relationships with the State, New Public Management, multilateral organizations, and the business sector. The central research problem was guided by the following question: How do the scientific productions of ANPEd?s Working Group 16 (Education and Communication) address the advancement of the platformization of education since the pandemic period? The chronological scope of the study stems from its research hypothesis: the expansion of the use of Digital Information and Communication Technologies (DICTs) through remote teaching, home-office work, and hybrid education during and after the pandemic contributed to the advancement of the platformization of education, a phenomenon directly linked to the expansion of capitalist logic within the educational system. The findings indicate that perspectives on the relationship between technology and education remain strongly grounded in instrumental determinism and technocentrism. Furthermore, the limited number of studies based on a materialist perspective suggests that technological fetishism continues to reinforce the platformization of education. Although the research identified a significant number of critical studies that do not adopt a materialist framework, their analyses remain primarily centered on technology itself. |
