Bioética em biotecnologia no Ensino Médio: uma sequência didática investigativa por meio da metodologia 7E's

Abstract

A reforma do Ensino Médio traz muitas novidades com relação à estrutura curricular, à aprendizagem, e à carga horária. Uma das mudanças são os itinerários formativos, onde o aluno pode escolher uma trilha de aprofundamento na área pela qual ele tem mais afinidade. A nova grade curricular constitui-se de um currículo mínimo comum a todo o território nacional e uma parte diversificada, que caberá a cada rede de ensino a sua elaboração. No portfólio de trilhas de aprofundamento, no caderno três do Currículo Base do Território Catarinense, encontra-se a trilha de aprofundamento denominada: Saúde traz felicidade? Essa trilha traz objetos de conhecimento diversos a serem trabalhados integralmente por professores de áreas distintas. Porém, como cada rede de ensino elaborou seus itinerários formativos com base na sua realidade local, as trilhas de aprofundamento como esta citada, não acompanham material didático para auxiliar o professor no processo de ensino e aprendizagem, o que demanda mais tempo de pesquisa e planejamento por parte do docente. Portanto, esta pesquisa objetiva abordar o tema bioética no ensino de biotecnologia para o Ensino Médio utilizando a abordagem investigativa por meio da metodologia do 7E?s em uma sequência didática para ser aplicada na trilha de aprofundamento Saúde traz felicidade? Para isso, avaliamos inicialmente as habilidades e competências do objeto de conhecimento bioética disposto nesta trilha e, para atingi-las, definimos os objetivos de aprendizagem, selecionamos uma metodologia de ensino- aprendizagem que envolvesse o ensino por investigação. Elaboramos uma sequência didática utilizando a metodologia dos 7E?s para ser aplicada no componente curricular de biologia e na trilha de aprofundamento abordando a bioética na Biotecnologia. Espera-se que essa pesquisa, como um todo, auxilie o professor no processo de organização didático-pedagógica e desponte o ensino por investigação em sua didática, servindo assim de modelo para elaboração de sequências para as demais trilhas de aprofundamento.

Abstract: The reform of High School results in many novelties regarding curricular structure, learning, and workload. One of the changes is the formative itineraries, where students can choose an in-depth learning path in the area they are most interested in. The new curriculum consists of a common minimum curriculum for all the national territory and a diversified part, which will be the responsibility of each school system to elaborate. In the portfolio of in-depth learning paths, in notebook three of the Basic Curriculum of the Santa Catarina Territory, there is an in-depth learning path entitled: Does health bring happiness? This path presents diverse knowledge objects to be worked on comprehensively by teachers from different areas. However, since each school system developed its educational pathways based on its local reality, in-depth learning paths like the one mentioned do not include teaching materials to assist the teacher in the teaching and learning process, which demands more research and planning time on the part of the teacher. Therefore, this research aims to address the topic of bioethics in biotechnology education for high school using an investigative approach through the 7E's methodology in a didactic sequence to be applied in the in-depth learning path \"Does Health Bring Happiness?\" To this end, we initially assessed the skills and competencies of the bioethics subject of knowledge presented in this learning path and, to achieve them, we defined learning objectives and selected a teaching-learning methodology that involved inquiry-based teaching. We developed a didactic sequence using the 7E's methodology to be applied in the biology curriculum component and in the in-depth learning path addressing bioethics in biotechnology. It is expected that this research, as a whole, will assist the teacher in the didactic-pedagogical organization process and highlight inquiry-based learning in their teaching methods, thus serving as a model for the development of sequences for other in-depth learning paths.
