Fernanda Montenegro: Um mosaico de percalços e conquistas político-sociais da cultura brasileira

Abstract

Esse trabalho é uma análise da trajetória de Fernanda Montenegro e tem como objetivo extrair exemplos reais da influência do teatro na sociedade, assim como as responsabilidades do ator conforme praticados por uma figura reverenciada na cultura brasileira. A análise foi feita à partir de material publicado, majoritariamente livros e entrevistas, onde a própria Fernanda e outras figuras que tiveram contato ou influência em sua carreira expressam as opiniões e justificativas por trás de seus posicionamentos e ações, criando um diálogo entre essas vozes que guiou a pesquisa para as principais responsabilidades de atores que buscam ter influência positiva na construção cultural do país. Foi concluído, com base nessa referência consolidada, que as responsabilidades do ator giram em torno, principalmente, da preparação para influenciar seus espectadores de forma proposital e consciente, desde a compreensão da importância da cultura no contexto social do país, a consciência do empreendedorismo e dos benefícios e malefícios das leis de incentivo à cultura existentes no Brasil, e a necessidade de desconstruir os preconceitos de desvalorização da cultura e do artista que ainda perduram no governo e na população da nação.

This monograph is an analysis of Fernanda Montenegro’s trajectory, with the objective of extracting real examples of the influence of theater in society and the responsibilities of the actor as practiced by a widely revered figure in Brazilian culture. The analysis is informed by published material, mostly books and interviews, in which Fernanda herself and other figures who have had contact or influence in her career express the opinions and motives behind their stances and actions, creating a dialogue between these voices which has guided the research to the main responsibilities of actors who aim to have a positive influence on the cultural construction of the country. It concludes, based on this consolidated reference, that the responsibilities of the actor mainly revolve around the preparation to influence their spectators in a purposeful and conscious way, from the comprehension of the importance of culture in the social context of the country, the consciousness of entrepreneurship and the benefits and drawbacks of the existing cultural incentive laws in Brazil, and the need to deconstruct the prejudice and disregard for culture and the artist which still remain a part of the government and the population of the nation.
