A arquitetura como ação mitigadora de ataques violentos em unidades educacionais

Abstract

O ambiente A educação deve ser saudável e segura, com o propósito de atender à missão educacional estabelecida na Constituição Federal. Contudo, observa-se atualmente um aumento preocupante em ataques violentos em unidades educacionais em todo o mundo. O total de ataques em escolas no Brasil nos últimos três anos já ultrapassou a soma dos registros dos 20 anos anteriores. Esses ataques são influenciados pelo ?efeito contágio? e estão ligados a motivos como busca de notoriedade e envolvimento com grupos extremistas. A presente pesquisa aborda o problema da segurança escolar no contexto brasileiro, com especial ênfase nos ataques violentos, tendo como objetivo propor diretrizes arquitetônicas direcionadas a reduzir ou evitar situações de violência. A metodologia da pesquisa é exploratória, com foco no levantamento bibliográfico de materiais relacionados ao tema. Inicialmente, foram comprovadas estratégias de proteção civil em âmbito internacional e nacional. Posteriormente, a pesquisa se concentrou em explorar a relação entre violência escolar, bullying e ataques violentos, destacando a importância da arquitetura na mitigação desses problemas. Os resultados foram fundamentados principalmente em manuais e relatórios dos Estados Unidos relacionados à mitigação de ataques em escolas. Como resultado, foram distribuídas medidas projetuais para mitigar um problema. A arquitetura pode desenvolver um papel de proteção ao possibilitar o planejamento de ambientes educacionais que priorizem a segurança. Contudo, é crucial considerar que a arquitetura não tem a capacidade de resolver completamente esses desafios ou abordar todas as questões associadas. Em vez disso, o projeto inovador pode contribuir para facilitar a identificação precoce de ameaças, estabelecer barreiras físicas, fornecer espaços de refúgio e criar rotas de evacuação para situações de emergência.

Abstract: The educational environment must be healthy and safe, with the purpose of meeting the educational mission established in the Brazilian Federal Constitution. However, there is currently a worrying increase in violent attacks in educational units around the world. The total number of attacks on schools in Brazil in the last three years has already exceeded the total recorded in the previous 20 years. These attacks are influenced by the \"copycat effect\" and are linked to reasons such as seeking notoriety and involvement with extremist groups. This research addresses the issue of school security in the Brazilian context, with special emphasis on violent attacks, with the objective of proposing architectural guidelines aimed at reducing or avoiding situations of violence. The research methodology is exploratory, focusing on a bibliographic survey of materials related to the topic. Initially, civil defense strategies were analyzed at international and national levels. Subsequently, research focused on exploring the relationship between school violence, bullying and violent attacks, highlighting the importance of architecture in mitigating these problems. The results were based mainly on manuals and reports from the United States government related to mitigating attacks in schools. As a result, design measures were established to mitigate the problem. Architecture can play a protective role by enabling the planning of educational environments that prioritize security. However, it is crucial to recognize that architecture does not have the ability to completely solve these challenges or address all associated issues. Instead, architectural design can contribute by facilitating early identification of threats, establishing physical barriers, providing spaces of refuge, and creating evacuation routes for emergency situations.
