Construtechs e Proptechs para cidades inteligentes e sustentáveis

Abstract

O crescimento populacional e a demanda por planejamento urbano apresentam desafios que comprometem o desenvolvimento harmonioso das cidades. Para superá-los, as cidades precisam se tornar mais inteligentes, e o rápido progresso tecnológico é visto como um grande aliado para enfrentar as crises ambientais e socioeconômicas urbanas e proporcionar melhor infraestrutura para quem ocupa esses espaços. Neste trabalho, buscou-se identificar quais Construtechs e Proptechs brasileiras oferecem produtos e serviços tecnológicos para atender cidades mais inteligentes e sustentáveis, em temas como: cidades inteligentes, ESG e Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável. Para esta análise, foram utilizados os dados das empresas que se relacionam com soluções inteligentes, do "Mapa Brasileiro de Construtechs e Proptechs 2022", elaborado pela "Terracotta Ventures". Após o estudo das 75 startups, identificou-se que a maioria de suas soluções focam em tecnologias para gestão de resíduos e gestão de energia, localizadas na região sul. As principais contribuições deste trabalho são: 1) verificar a maturidade do mercado da construção em questões de sustentabilidade; e 2) identificar oportunidades de investimento para o setor.

Population growth and the demand for urban planning present challenges that compromise the harmonious development of cities. To overcome them, cities need to become smarter, and rapid technological progress is seen as a great ally to address urban environmental and socio- economic crises and provide better infrastructure for those who occupy these spaces. This work to identify which Brazilian Construtech and Proptechs offer technological products and services to serve smarter and more sustainable cities, on topics such as: smart cities, ESG and Sustainable Development Goals. For this analysis, the data from the "2022 Brazilian Construtechs and Proptechs Map", prepared by "Terracotta Ventures", were the basis for the analysis of companies that are related to smart solutions. After analyzing 75 startups, it was identified that most of their solutions focus on technologies for waste management and energy management, located in the southern region. The main contributions of this work are: 1) to identify the maturity of the construction market regarding sustainability issues; and 2) identify investment opportunities for the sector.
