Autobiografia em Jean-Jacques Rousseau: uma estética da criação de si

Abstract

Nesta pesquisa, defende-se a primazia da existência como questão essencial que norteia, confere coesão e sentido à filosofia de Rousseau. A ideia de existência permitiu uma nova leitura sobre a obra rousseauniana, a qual doravante passou a conferir status filosófico às obras literárias até então diferençadas pela tradição filosófica. A ideia de fusão entre os gêneros literário e filosófico é essencial para melhor compreender a complexidade do pensamento rousseauniano. Acerca do esmaecimento das fronteiras entre tais gêneros, pode-se dizer que, em Rousseau, pensamento, imaginação, sentimento não se relacionam por hierarquia e sim num movimento constelar no qual o que os liga é mesmo a existência. No caso desta investigação, o vislumbre da porção literária da obra de Rousseau enquanto expressão de uma filosofia da existência necessita conectar a filosofia rousseauniana à ideia de autoformação para que o trabalho encontre, dentre outros possíveis, um sentido no campo da educação. À autoformação, soma-se o nexo entre autobiografia - subdivisão do termo genérico denominado \"escrita de si\" - e filosofia da existência na tentativa de compreender as transformações na vida e na obra do filósofo genebrino. Serão estudadas algumas obras literárias de Rousseau julgadas relevantes para compreender a existência como problema filosófico-literário e a função da autobiografia como expressão da criação de si rousseauniana junto ao seu potencial autoformativo. Pretende-se identificar na escrita de Rousseau os momentos em que ele se volta em direção a si mesmo no movimento insular característico do egoísmo estético da solidão (necessária a ambas, vida e obra), e os que o genebrino se transforma no decorrer de suas experiências de vida por vezes também influenciadas por sua escritura. Um dos objetivos desta pesquisa é o de observar a transformação da escrita do filósofo no interior da obra, descobrir os movimentos de sua alma, perceber o percurso que a criação de si proporcionada pela autobiografia perfaz no decorrer de sua existência.

Abstract: In this research we defend the primacy of existence as an essential problem that guides, gives cohesion and meaning to Rousseau's work. The idea of existence allowed a new reading of the Rousseauian work, which henceforth gave philosophical status to literary works hitherto distinguished by the philosophical tradition. The idea of fusion between the literary and philosophical genres is essential for a better understanding of the complexity of Rousseauian thought. Regarding the blurring of the boundaries between these genres, we can say that in Rousseau thought, imagination, feeling are not related by hierarchy, but in a constellation movement in which what really connects them is existence. In the case of this investigation, the view of the literary portion of Rousseau's work as an expression of a philosophy of existence needs to connect the Rousseauian philosophy to the idea of self-formation so that our work finds, among other possibilities, a meaning in the field of education. To the selfformation is added the nexus between autobiography, subdivision of the generic term called \"self-writing\" and philosophy of existence in an attempt to understand the transformations in the life and work of the Genevan philosopher. Some of Rousseau's literary works deemed relevant in order to understand existence as a philosophicalliterary problem and the function of autobiography as an expression of the aesthetics of Rousseauian self-creation along with its self-formative potential will be studied. We intend to identify in Rousseau's writing the moments in which he turns towards himself in the insular movement characteristic of the aesthetic egoism of loneliness (necessary for both life and work), and those in which there are self-transformation in the Genevan's existence in the course of his life experiences sometimes also influenced by his writing. One of our goals in this research is to observe the transformation of the philosopher's writing within his work, to discover the movements of his soul, to perceive the path that self-creation provided by autobiography takes in the course of his existence.
