Escritoras portuguesas e estado novo: as obras que a ditadura tentou apagar da vida pública

Abstract

Pretendemos neste trabalho analisar as obras das escritoras portuguesas que foram censuradas no decorrer do Estado Novo (1933-1974), percebendo os motivos que levaram às proibições, assim como os lugares dessas obras na sociedade portuguesa e na história literária, conseguindo estudar as suas condições de produção e de recepção. Desta forma, pretendemos recuperar este conjunto de autoras enquanto sujeitos históricos, reinscrevendo na história as obras que a ditadura tentou apagar ou mesmo as autoras que tentou boicotar.Procedemos aqui a esse resgate, analisando o papel das autoras/obras no cânone, tenham-lhe pertencido ou tenham estado à sua margem, assim como a acção dos mecanismos censórios para essa pertença ou ausência.

Abstract : In this work, we intend to analyze the works of the Portuguese female writers that were censored during the New State (1933-1974), understanding both what led to those prohibitions and the places those works have in Portuguese society and in literary history. With this, we hope to be able to study the conditions of the production of those works as well as the reception they had. We intend to recover this group of authors as historical subjects, reinstating in history the works that the dictatorship tried to eradicate or even the authors it tried to boycott. We will proceed to that rescue here, analyzing the role of the authors/works in the canon, whether they belong to it or not, as well as the action of the censorial mechanisms that lead to that allegiance or absence.
