dc.description TCC (graduação) - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. Campus Joinville. Engenharia de Infraestrutura. pt_BR
dc.description.abstract With the future implementation of the UFSC Campus at the South region of Joinville and consequently the urbanization growth. The present study aims to analyze the sediment production in the watershed of Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina Campus in Joinville/SC (BHCUJ). For this purpose, the Suspended Sediment Concentration (CSS) for different water levels and turbidity values were collected and analyzed in three monitoring points located in BHCUJ sub-basins. As a sampling protocol, the method adopted was Equal-Width-Increment Sampling (IIL) using the USDH - 48 equipment. The CSS determination was performed using the filtration method, through the total of 22 samples. The CSS equations were obtained as a function of water level and turbidity values, using regression methods. The maximum and mean flow rate, maximum precipitation index, total precipitation, antecedent precipitation index, maximum and mean CSS were determined by Pearson correlation coefficients. Based on these data, as a function of six rain events for each monitored point, the production of suspended sediments was analyzed, determining, therefore, the factors of greater influence on the sediment production. As a result of the study, the influence of rainfall and flow on the variation of CSS was confirmed. It was verified that the factors of greater influence in the production of sediment in the BHCUJ were: flow rate, maximum precipitation index, total precipitation and external factors. Quantitatively, the sediment transport varied among the three monitoring points, with the highest value equivalent to 0.6876 kg/m³ and the lowest 0.0291 kg/m³. pt_BR
