Author: Bresolin, Paula
Abstract: Objetivo: traduzir, adaptar, validar e avaliar a usabilidade e a viabilidade do modelo tecnológico de gestão educacional: Technology-Optimized Practice Process in Nursing (TOPP-N) para o Brasil. Abstract: Objective: To translate, adapt, validate, and evaluate the usability and feasibility of the Technology-Optimized Practice Process in Nursing (TOPP-N) educational management model for Brazil. Method: The methodological approach was based on six studies: Study 1, a scoping review to systematically map and identify gaps in published studies on the use of technology-supported guidance models to stimulate nursing students' self-efficacy in clinical practice; Study 2, translation and adaptation of the linguistic content of the TOPP-N application to the Brazilian context; Study 3, translation and cross-cultural adaptation of the instructions and the Assessment of Clinical Education (AssCE) instrument to Portuguese and Brazilian culture; Study 4, usability of the TOPP-N application; Study 5, translation, adaptation, and validation of the Self-Efficacy in Clinical Performance (SECP) scale to Portuguese and Brazilian culture; Study 6, feasibility of the adapted TOPP-N application in the Brazilian context with a focus on self-efficacy stimulation. Results: Manuscript 1, eight studies were included, and four thematic groups were identified: technological solutions; focus on learning in clinical practice; practical skills or specific areas of knowledge; and teaching strategies and theoretical approaches to self-efficacy. Manuscript 2, the TOPP-N application was successfully adapted to the Brazilian context. Manuscript 3, seven experts formed the committee responsible for evaluating the equivalences of the AssCE, with items classified as relevant. In the pre-test phase, 22 nursing students and 20 nurse preceptors participated. The comparison of intermediate and final evaluations and the internal consistency of the measures were assessed, with all instrument categories in both evaluations showing appropriate Cronbach's alpha values (a > 0.8). Manuscript 4, participants evaluated the TOPP-N application as easy to use, positive, educational, inspiring, meaningful, useful, and motivational for guiding and assessing curricular internships in nursing practice, playing an integral role in the educational process. Manuscript 5, in the pilot test phase of the pre-final version, results showed high agreement rates, and in the validation phase, the model fit the data very well, with excellent indices. The SECP scale's factor loadings were statistically significant and of adequate magnitude. The Intraclass Correlation Coefficient showed good and excellent indices for all latent factors. Manuscript 6, the feasibility test of the TOPP-N application had 32 participants. The SECP scale was completed by students (n=17) pre- and post-intervention. Students demonstrated higher self-efficacy scores after the intervention, showing statistically significant results. Conclusion: The TOPP-N was translated, adapted to the Brazilian context, and tested, along with the relevant instruments, SECP and AssCE. Additionally, the SECP was validated, presenting excellent indices.
