O brinquedo pedagógico para o desenvolvimento da coordenação motora fina: um estudo de caso sobre a Brinquedoteca do Colégio de Aplicação da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina

Abstract

This study investigated the contribution of educational toys to the development of children's fine motor skills in the context of the toy library at the Colégio de Aplicação of the Federal University of Santa Catarina (CA-UFSC). The mixed-methods approach was characterized as basic, documentary, and a case study, based on the analysis of the list of toys available in the toy library, as well as the interpretation of their uses and educational potential in light of the literature in the field. In this regard, the research sought to answer the following central question: how does the collection of the CA-UFSC toy library contribute to the social role of Library Science? Thus, the general objective of this article is to analyze how the collection of the Colégio de Aplicação of the Federal University of Santa Catarina (CA - UFSC) toy library contributes to the social role of Library Science. Therefore, educational toys that promote fine motor skills will be identified and described, considering their relevance to child development and the social role of the toy library as a space for information mediation. The observed results include the increased value placed on educational toys as an educational.
