Associação Atlética Acadêmica de Educação Física- Ada Carina Maliceski: sua auto-organização de esporte, cultura e lazer no período de 2018-2023

Abstract

As Associações Atléticas Acadêmicas são as principais entidades de oferecimento de atividades esportivas e culturais a partir da auto-organização dos acadêmicos. Assim, tomo como tema de minha investigação a Associação Atlética Acadêmica de Educação Física - Ada Carina Maliceski. Minha pesquisa é do tipo qualitativa-exploratória. Utilizo as técnicas de investigação autobiográfica e de análise documental para recuperar elementos do esporte, cultura, lazer, e dimensões normativo-gerenciais da AEF no período (2018-2023), período em que exerci diversas funções nessa Atlética, em especial, sua presidência. O estudo encontra-se organizado de forma que, num primeiro momento, trato das escolhas metodológicas e dos aportes teóricos do estudo. Faço uma recuperação histórica da constituição das Atléticas através de tendências em alguns períodos: sua criação, Era Vargas, período de expansão do projeto nacional-popular, Ditadura Civil-Militar de 64, democratização do país e o atual momento da gestão universitária, fortemente demarcada pelo empreendedorismo acadêmico. Também faço estudos quanto ao esporte, diferenciando suas perspectivas de esporte federado e de lazer, e também demarco os equívocos e implicações do esporte olímpico ou federado sendo determinante para as manifestações do esporte educacional e de lazer da universidade. Quanto ao lazer, há a necessidade de repensar sua forma, trocando de produto para um lazer emancipatório, ou seja, práticas de lazer promotoras da cidadania esclarecida cientificamente. Também conceituo cultura, cultura popular e aponto as dimensões da educação popular como próprias para a ressignificação dos conteúdos das práticas esportivas, culturais e de lazer para as AAA´s. A partir dos dados obtidos é possível perspectivar avanços e novos desafios a serem superados quanto à organização das atividades esportivas e culturais das atléticas através da qualificação de ações já realizadas, avanços a serem feitos, sobretudo, em orientações estatutárias- normativas, no aporte científico de suas ações esportivas, e no financeiro estatal e universitário para suas ações. Por fim, também constatamos a baixa produção científica de estudos quanto ao esporte universitário.

Academic Athletic Associations are the main entities responsible for offering sports and cultural activities through students’ self-organization. Thus, I take as the theme of my investigation the Academic Athletic Association of Physical Education – Ada Carina Maliceski. My research is qualitative and exploratory in nature. I use autobiographical investigation techniques and document analysis to recover elements related to sports, culture, leisure, and the normative-managerial dimensions of the AEF during the period (2018–2023), a period in which I held various positions within this Athletic Association, especially its presidency. The study is organized so that, at first, I address the methodological choices and theoretical foundations of the research. I provide a historical recovery of the constitution of Athletic Associations through tendencies observed in several periods: their creation, the Vargas Era, the expansion of the national-popular project, the 1964 Civil-Military Dictatorship, the democratization of the country, and the current moment of university management, which is strongly marked by academic entrepreneurship. I also conduct analyses of sport, differentiating between federated sport and leisure-oriented sport, and I highlight the misunderstandings and implications of Olympic or federated sport being treated as determinative for manifestations of educational and leisure sport within the university. Regarding leisure, there is a need to rethink its form, shifting from a consumer-based model to an emancipatory leisure — that is, leisure practices that promote scientifically informed citizenship. I also conceptualize culture, popular culture, and point to the dimensions of popular education as appropriate for the re-signification of the content of sports, cultural, and leisure practices within Academic Athletic Associations. Based on the data obtained, it is possible to outline advances and new challenges to be overcome in the organization of sports and cultural activities within athletic associations, through the qualification of actions already carried out, the improvements that still need to be made — especially in statutory and normative guidelines — the scientific grounding of their sports actions, and increased financial support from the state and the university. Finally, we also confirm the scarce scientific production on university sports.
