Comissão Nacional da Verdade e o depoimento de militares: intersecção entre discurso, memória e História

Abstract

O presente trabalho, portanto, objetiva entender as disputas de memórias sobre o período, assim como a constituição de discursos históricos sobre a esquerda de dois militares convidados a prestar depoimentos para a Comissão Nacional da Verdade. Esse foi um momento emblemático para a História do Brasil, precisamente porque houve uma política pública de investigação e estudo principalmente das violações de direitos humanos na Ditadura Militar Brasileira. O presente trabalho, portanto, objetiva entender as disputas de memórias sobre o período, assim como a constituição de discursos históricos sobre a esquerda de dois militares convidados a prestar depoimentos para a Comissão. A metodologia utilizada é da Análise do Discurso que intersecciona linguagem, história, ideologia e memória discursiva. Através da análise dos depoimentos foi possível entender a dimensão dos abusos da memória em relação às perguntas do presente, as formações discursivas militares assim como as disputas de versões sobre o passado ditatorial e a esquerda. As Forças Armadas, nesse sentido, estabeleceram uma ‘‘união’’ e reiteram com frequência significados e memórias sobre a ditadura, não necessariamente ligadas à pesquisa histórica, mas sobretudo à disputa pelo passado.

The present study, therefore, aims to understand the disputes over memories of the period, as well as the formation of historical narratives about the left by two military personnel invited to give testimony to the National Truth Commission. This was a symbolic moment in the history of Brazil, precisely because there was a public policy for investigating and studying primarily human rights violations during the Brazilian Military Dictatorship. This study, therefore, aims to understand the memory disputes about the period, as well as the formation of historical discourses about the left from two military personnel invited to give testimony to the Commission. The methodology used is Discourse Analysis, which intersects language, history, ideology, and discursive memory. Through the analysis of the testimonies, it was possible to understand the dimension of memory abuses in relation to present-day questions, the military discursive formations, as well as the disputes over versions of the dictatorial past and the left. In this sense, the Armed Forces established a ‘‘union’’ and frequently reiterate meanings and memories about the dictatorship, not necessarily connected to historical research, but above all, to the struggle over the past.
