Title: A RELEVÂNCIA DA ESTRATÉGIA VENTILAÇÃO NATURAL PARA PAULO AFONSO/BA/BR
Author: Toledo, Alexandre Márcio; Leonel, Eriklis Yure Silva
Natural ventilation is recommended as one of the main bioclimatic strategies to obtain thermal comfort in northeastern Brazil. The objective was to verify the relevance of this strategy for Paulo Afonso/BA/BR. Bioclimatic maps generated by two software were compared, based on INMET data, for the 2016 climate year, with the adaptive thermal comfort model. Natural ventilation proved to be fundamental for a considerable range of hours of the day throughout the year, but in conjunction with other strategies. Analysis Bio was closer to what is recommended by ABNT standards than the Climate Consultant. Passive strategies have a promising role for the Z7 weather conditions. Air conditioning is not recommended as a main active strategy, contrary to local practices and preferences.Natural ventilation is recommended as one of the main bioclimatic strategies to obtain thermal comfort in northeastern Brazil.
