Tradução, adaptação transcultural e uso da ferramenta Knowledge Translation Planning Template no contexto brasileiro

Abstract

Introdução: As evidências científicas são essenciais para o desenvolvimento de políticas de saúde efetivas, porém, seu uso ainda é incipiente na prática. Para auxiliar no planejamento da Tradução do Conhecimento antes, durante e após o desenvolvimento de projetos de pesquisa, existem ferramentas disponíveis, entre elas a Knowledge Translation Planning Template. Objetivo: Realizar tradução, adaptação transcultural, validação desta ferramenta para língua portuguesa do Brasil, e, conhecer a percepção de pesquisadores e usuários do conhecimento quanto à aplicação de estratégias de tradução do conhecimento integradas em projetos de pesquisa. Método: Realizou-se um estudo metodológico e uma pesquisa de abordagem qualitativa. Para realizar a adaptação transcultural e validação da ferramenta executou-se as etapas de tradução, síntese, retrotradução, avaliação e validação de conteúdo por juízes experts no tema, pré-teste da ferramenta e discussão com a autora do instrumento original para aprovação da versão final da ferramenta. Para análise descritiva e analítica dos dados quantitativos, foi utilizado o programa Statistical Package for the Social Sciences, versão 19.0. Na pesquisa qualitativa, participaram seis pesquisadores e usuários do conhecimento com experiência em tradução do conhecimento integrada ao processo de pesquisa. Realizou-se análise de conteúdo temática. A pesquisa obedeceu a resolução número 466/12 do Conselho Nacional da Saúde que dispõe sobre as Normas e Diretrizes regulamentadoras das pesquisas que envolvem Seres Humanos. Resultados: O Modelo de Planejamento de Tradução do Conhecimento é resultado de um processo criterioso de tradução e adaptação transcultural, obteve índice de validade de conteúdo geral de 0,99. Da análise qualitativa, emergiram os seguintes temas: Planejamento da Tradução do Conhecimento; Ações de Tradução do Conhecimento por pesquisadores; Conselho de stakeholders durante projeto de pesquisa - ações, significados e desafios. Os pesquisadores e stakeholders perceberam que o planejamento da tradução do conhecimento precisa engajar os usuários do conhecimento e os tomadores de decisão, mas reconhecem que essas ações ainda são desafiadoras e incipientes. Apontam a ferramenta como útil, mas que requer capacitação para uso, com vista a superar o modelo tradicional das pesquisas.

Abstract: Introduction: Scientific evidence is essential for the development of effective health policies, but its use is still incipient in practice. To assist in the planning of Knowledge Translation before, during and after the development of research projects, there are tools available, among them the Knowledge Translation Planning Template. Objective: To perform the translation, cross-cultural adaptation, and validation of this tool into Brazilian Portuguese, and to understand the perception of researchers and knowledge users regarding the application of knowledge translation strategies integrated into research projects. Method: A methodological study and a qualitative research approach were carried out. To perform the cross-cultural adaptation and validation of the tool, the stages of translation, synthesis, back-translation, evaluation and validation of content by expert judges on the topic, pre-test of the tool, and discussion with the author of the original instrument for approval of the final version of the tool were performed. For descriptive and analytical analysis of the quantitative data, we used the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences, version 19.0. In the qualitative research, six researchers and knowledge users with experience in knowledge translation integrated to the research process participated. Thematic content analysis was performed. The research obeyed Resolution n° 466/12 of the National Health Council that disposes on the Guidelines and Norms Regulating Research Involving Human Beings. Results: The Knowledge Translation Planning Model is the result of a careful process of translation and cross-cultural adaptation, obtained a general content validity index of 0.99. From the qualitative analysis, the following themes emerged: Knowledge Translation Planning; Knowledge Translation Actions by researchers; Stakeholders' advice during research project - actions, meanings and challenges. Researchers and stakeholders realized that knowledge translation planning needs to engage knowledge users and decision makers, but recognize that these actions are still challenging and incipient. They point to the tool as useful, but it requires training for use, in order to overcome the traditional research model.
