Contribuições de uma perspectiva interseccional sensível ao espaço

Abstract

O presente trabalho parte da premissa segundo a qual uma perspectiva interseccional, que compreende feixes de opressões de gênero, raça e classe, pode contribuir substancialmente para os estudos sociais sensíveis ao espaço. O objetivo é argumentar que tal postura crítica, em grande medida, alavancada pelas ondas feministas, coloca em relação de solidariedade e proximidade desigualdades estruturais que até então se mostravam isoladas, menores ou \"desencarnadas\", isto é, alheias à produção do espaço e ao cotidiano dos territórios periféricos. Para tanto, dividimos o texto em três capítulos. No primeiro capítulo, há uma dupla estratégia: através de uma revisão de literatura, mostramos em que medida no capitalismo neoliberal os sofrimentos sociais se dão na esfera da produção, mas também na da reprodução, ou seja, no mundo do trabalho e na reprodução social. Tais fenômenos não são abstratos, mas se apresentam de muitos modos, desde a escala geopolítica, passando pelos conflitos pelo espaço urbanizado, e incluindo os processos de subjetivação, as sensibilidades das mulheres em suas relações com a casa, com seu entorno e com a cidade. Ainda neste primeiro capítulo, e com tais referências bibliográficas, mostramos um caleidoscópio de dados que evidenciam a relevância da perspectiva interseccional. O capitalismo neoliberal tem marcadores de cor, gênero e território, que se entrelaçam estruturalmente, sobretudo no cotidiano dos corpos periféricos. No segundo capítulo, reconstruímos o histórico e a trajetória do conceito de interseccionalidade, revisando principais formulações no âmbito do feminismo e, com isso, repassamos alguns balanços de lutas sociais nas quais a perspectiva interseccional é mobilizada.O terceiro capítulo revisita categorias e autores que se tornam elementos basilares para uma transformação social desde as raízes do cotidiano urbano vivido, dos tecidos sociais e sensibilidades políticas. Nossa abordagem busca, portanto, o engajamento em processos de interpretação e transformação das relações sociais, de modo a nos orientarmos em direção a uma sociedade mais justa e inclusiva desde uma perspectiva interseccional. Veremos que é nos detalhes do poder do afeto que visualizamos conteúdos mais profundos do território e de seu povo.

Abstract: The present research is grounded in the belief that an intersectional perspective, which comprehends the intersections of gender, race, and class oppressions, can significantly contribute to socially sensitive spatial studies. The objective is to argue that such a critical standpoint, largely driven by feminist movements, establishes solidarity and proximity among structural inequalities that previously seemed isolated, minor, or \"disembodied\" ? that is, detached from the production of space and the daily life of peripheral territories. To accomplish this, we have organized the text into three chapters. In the first chapter, a dual strategy is employed: through a literature review, we demonstrate the extent to which social suffering in neoliberal capitalism manifests in both the sphere of production and the sphere of reproduction ? in other words, in the realms of labor and social reproduction. These phenomena are not abstract but manifest in various ways, from the geopolitical scale and conflicts over urbanized space to the processes of subjectivation and the sensitivities of women in their relationships with home, surroundings, and the city. In this first chapter, supported by bibliographical references, we present a kaleidoscope of data highlighting the relevance of the intersectional perspective. Neoliberal capitalism exhibits markers of color, gender, and territory that are structurally intertwined, particularly in the daily lives of peripheral bodies. The second chapter reconstructs the history and trajectory of the intersectionality concept, reviewing main formulations within feminism and examining social struggles where the intersectional perspective is mobilized. In the third chapter, we revisit categories and authors that constitute fundamental elements for social transformation rooted in daily urban life, social fabrics, and political sensitivities. Our approach aims to engage in processes of interpretation and transformation of social relations, aspiring toward a fairer and more inclusive society from an intersectional perspective. We will illustrate that the nuances of the power of affection reveal the deeper contents of the territory and its people.
