Nowadays, the fashion industry is accounted for a big part of the environmental pollution produced.
External pressures and policies are, somehow, straining the companies to rethink their production
ways. There is a growing awareness among the consumers regarding their own consumption
patterns. Buying second hand clothes gain a new meaning, far from being a sign of poverty, it became
a sign of consciousness about sustainability in the fashion world. In this direction, the aim of the
present study is to understand how the stores for circulation children’s second-hand products in
Curitiba/PR relates with socioeconomical aspects of the neighbourhoods. To achieve that, we
adopted a qualitative-exploratory approach mapping the stores in the city. The results highlight the
existence of a big correlation among where the stores are and the income of the population living in
those areas. |
