Crescimento de Cupressus lusitanica Mill. no Planalto Sul de Santa Catarina com diferentes intensidades de desbaste

Abstract

Nesse trabalho, objetivou-se avaliar a resposta em crescimento de 3 diferentes tratamentos após 6 anos da realização de desbaste seletivo pelo alto em um plantio de Cupressus lusitanica. Em 2015, quando o plantio tinha 9 anos ocorreu a implantação do experimento, com a realização de um inventário e com a divisão da área em 3 tratamentos com 3 repetições: tratamento testemunha (sem a realização de desbaste), tratamento moderado com intensidade de desbaste de 50% e o tratamento extremo com intensidade de desbaste de 75%. O primeiro inventário realizado após o desbaste também foi em 2015 e os próximos inventários foram anuais até o ano de 2021, quando a espécie completou 15 anos de desenvolvimento e 6 anos após as intervenções de desbaste. As análises realizadas foram em relação a 3 variáveis dendrométricas: diâmetro quadrático médio (dg), diâmetro dominante (d100) e área basal (G). Nos resultados encontrados o desbaste extremo obteve resultados superiores para duas variáveis, o diâmetro quadrático médio (dg) e o diâmetro dominante (d100). A variável área basal (G) obteve maiores resultados no tratamento testemunha. O teste de médias entre os tratamentos testemunha e extremo mostrou diferença significativa para as 3 variáveis analisadas. A variável dg apresentou diferença significativa entre 2018 e 2021, a variável d100 apresentou diferença significativa em 2020 e 2021 e para G apresentou diferença significativa em todos os anos a partir do primeiro inventário após o desbaste, essa diferença em todos os anos também ocorreu no teste entre moderado e extremo para a variável G. O teste de médias entre os tratamentos moderado e extremo também mostrou diferenças significativas nas 3 variáveis analisadas, para a variável dg apresentou diferença significativa em todos os anos inventariados após o desbaste, na variável d100 apresentou diferença significativa nos anos de 2018 e 2019. Em relação ao teste de medias entre os tratamentos testemunha e comercial não foi apresentado diferença significativa em nenhuma das variáveis analisadas.

In this work, the objective was to evaluate the growth response of 3 different treatments after 6 years of selective thinning from above in a Cupressus lusitanica plantation. In 2015, when the planting was 9 years old, the experiment was implemented, carrying out an inventory and dividing the area into 3 treatments with 3 replications: control treatment (without thinning), moderate treatment with thinning intensity of 50% and the extreme treatment with thinning intensity of 75%. The first inventory carried out after thinning was also in 2015 and the next inventories were annual until 2021, when the species completed 15 years of development and 6 years after the thinning interventions. The analyzes carried out were in relation to 3 dendrometric variables: root mean square diameter (dg), dominant diameter (d100) and basal area (G). In the results found, extreme thinning obtained superior results for two variables, the root mean square diameter (dg) and the dominant diameter (d100). The variable basal area (G) obtained better results in the control treatment. The mean test between the control and extreme treatments showed a significant difference for the 3 analyzed variables. The variable dg showed a significant difference between 2018 and 2021, the variable d100 showed a significant difference in 2020 and 2021 and for G it showed a significant difference in all years from the first inventory after thinning, this difference in all years also occurred in the test between moderate and extreme for the G variable. The average test between moderate and extreme treatments also showed significant differences in the 3 analyzed variables, for the dg variable it showed a significant difference in all years inventoried after thinning, for the d100 variable it showed a significant difference in the years 2018 and 2019. Regarding the test of means between the control and commercial treatments, no significant difference was shown in any of the analyzed variables.
