Mucocele de vesícula biliar e colelitíase em cão: relato de caso

Abstract

A mucocele da vesícula biliar é a enfermidade que mais causa problemas de obstrução extra hepática. Caracterizada pelo acúmulo de bile espessa e/ou muco, o que leva à distensão da vesícula biliar. Essa condição pode causar graves complicações ao animal, como peritonite biliar, necrose isquêmica e até levar ao óbito. A causa exata dessa doença ainda não é totalmente compreendida, mas acredita-se que seja multifatorial, onde endocrinopatias, distúrbios celulares ou genética podem estar em volvidos na patogênese da mucocele. Para garantir um prognóstico favorável, é essencial diagnosticar precocemente a mucocele por meio de ultrassonografia, permitindo assim a instituição de um tratamento o mais cedo possível. O tratamento clínico com hepatoprotetores e coléreticos é amplamente utilizada, mas ainda não se tem comprovações cientificas da sua utilização. Já o tratamento cirúrgico, a colecistectomia, é o mais indicado para essa enfermidade. Esta monografia visa relatar um caso de diagnóstico clínico de mucocele de vesícula biliar em cão, acompanhado durante o estágio curricular obrigatório em Medicina Veterinária no Adharas Hospital Veterinário.

Gallbladder mucocele is the disease that most causes extrahepatic obstruction problems. Characterized by the accumulation of thick bile and/or mucus, which leads to distention of the gallbladder. This condition can cause serious complications to the animal, such as biliary peritonitis, ischemic necrosis and even lead to death. The exact cause of this disease is still not fully understood, but it is believed to be multifactorial, where endocrinopathies, cellular disorders or genetics may be involved in the pathogenesis of mucocele. To ensure a favorable prognosis, it is essential to diagnose the mucocele early by means of ultrasonography, thus allowing the institution of a treatment as soon as possible. Clinical treatment with hepatoprotectors and choleretics is widely used, but there is still no scientific proof of its use. Surgical treatment, cholecystectomy, is the most suitable for this disease. This work will report a case of a clinical diagnosis of gallbladder mucocele in a dog, accompanied during the mandatory curricular internship in Veterinary Medicine at Adharas Veterinary Hospital.
