Projeto Floresta Escola: Um estudo de caso sobre a aplicabilidade da educação ambiental em uma escola municipal

Abstract

Este artigo usa uma abordagem de estudo de caso para explorar o impacto da implantação de um projeto de educação ambiental sob a perspectiva da renovação da temática no ambiente escolar. Um total de 183 estudantes, 10 funcionários e técnicos da gestão municipal contribuíram para a implantação do projeto. O estudo teve uma análise qualitativa assistindo às diferentes variáveis que compõem a formação do saber educacional ambiental. A compilação de atividades teóricas e práticas permitiram o desenvolvimento de ações ambientais coerentes. A possibilidade de interagir com os elementos ambientais despertou nos sujeitos envolvidos o interesse em contribuir com medidas profícuas ao meio ambiente e conseqüentemente a sociedade. Conclui-se que tornar a educação ambiental uma prática efetiva no ambiente escolar não somente é possível como é urgente. Sugere-se que projetos similares ao escopo deste sejam desenvolvidos em outras unidades, de modo que resultados como os contemplados possam ser maximizados.

This article uses a case study approach to explore the impact of the implementation of an environmental education project from the perspective of renewing the theme in the school environment. A total of 183 students, 10 employees and municipal management technicians contributed to the implementation of the project. The study had a qualitative analysis attending to the different variables that compose the formation of environmental educational knowledge. The compilation of theoretical and practical activities allowed the development of coherent environmental actions. The possibility of interacting with the environmental elements awakened in the subjects involved the interest in contributing with measures that are profitable to the environment and, consequently, to society. We conclude that making environmental education an effective practice in the school environment is not only possible as it is urgent. It is suggested that projects similar to the scope of this project be developed in other units, so that results such as those contemplated can be maximized.
