A Convergência entre a criatividade e a tecnologia: Um estudo sobre a Cultura da Convergência em Florianópolis

Abstract

The city of Florianopolis has a history of investing in the Information Technology (IT) sector, in which the creative economy exercises a considerable level of influence. In this sense, it’s relevant to study the association between these surroundings, in which, to the purpose oh this paper, will be focused on the audio-visual sector. Considering the fact that the audiovisual sector improves its performance by utilizing the IT innovations, the objective of this work is to display the concepts of Proximity, Convergence Culture and Creative Economy, in order to demonstrate the presence of elements of Proximity between the sectors of audiovisual and IT, located at the micro-region of Florianopolis. In the making of this paper, bibliographical survey was used to gather the definitions, in dialogue, of these concepts; Florianopolis history with the development of the IT and audio-visual sectors; and the mapping of the registered companies that were found in the available database. The results of the analysis show the presence of Proximity indicators, between the researched sectors, at the city of Florianopolis.
