Abstract

The implementation of sustainability in the projects performed is increasingly present in the daily life of engineering students, since it is essential to seek stability between the social fabric, economy and environment in human actions. It is noticed that there is a need to acquire knowledge about environmental responsibility in the engineers training, since it ensures the nature preservation and minimizing of environmental impacts. The main objective of this study is to analyze the perspectives of environmental and civil engineering undergraduates regarding to the importance of the insertion of sustainable practices in the development of projects. For the research execution, a questionnaire was applied to engineering students of different colleges, so that there is a diversified sample during the data analysis. A bibliographic review was done to help in understanding the theme. The article concludes that the presence of sustainability in project planning is a fundamental strategy.
