Relatório de estágio obrigatório supervisionado em clínica médica de pequenos animais

Abstract

O estágio curricular supervisionado, realizado ao fim da graduação de Medicina Veterinária, como requisito para a formação acadêmica, permite ao estudante a vivência na área profissional de maior interesse, colocar em prática todo o conhecimento adquirido durante os anos de faculdade e apreender novas informações e condutas com Médicos Veterinários já formados, e que exercem diversas especialidades dentro da medicina veterinária. O presente relatório de estágio objetiva descrever o local onde o estágio foi realizado: Hospital Veterinário Amizade, localizado na cidade de Jaraguá do Sul, no estado de Santa Catarina, elucidando sua infraestrutura, modo de funcionamento, recursos diagnósticos disponíveis e especialistas associados. Além disso, visa discutir sobre a casuística de afecções que acometeram os pacientes caninos e felinos durante o período de acompanhamento, sendo essas divididas por sistema ou especialidade para melhor entendimento. Sobre a casuística do Hospital Veterinário os caninos foram os mais atendidos (84%), sendo as fêmeas (62%) o maior número dentro da espécie. Dentre os sistemas de maior ocorrência das enfermidades está o digestório (28%), sendo a gastroenterite a afecção mais observada (55%).

The supervised curricular internship, carried out at the end of the Veterinary Medicine graduation, as a requirement for academic training, allows the student to experience the professional area of greatest interest, put into practice all the knowledge acquired during college years and learn new information and conducts with Veterinarians who have already graduated, and who practice various specialties within the veterinary medicine of small animals. This internship report aims to show the place, the Amizade Veterinary Hospital, located in the city of Jaraguá do Sul, in the state of Santa Catarina, elucidating its infrastructure, mode of operation, available diagnostic resources and associated specialists. In addition, it aims to discuss the series of conditions that affected canine and feline patients during the follow-up period, which are divided by system or specialty for better understanding. Regarding the casuistry of the Veterinary Hospital, canines are the most attended (84%), with females (62%) being the largest number within the species, among the systems with the highest occurrence of diseases is the digestive system (28%), being gastroenteritis the most observed condition (55%).
