O Discurso Ecológico, a Educação Ambiental e os Comuns

Abstract

A crise socioambiental em nosso planeta chegou a patamares considerados irreversíveis. Neste contexto, desde o século XX, desenvolvem-se estratégias visando a alteração deste quadro, combinando-se no que chamamos de Discurso Ecológico, discurso este construído a partir da ação de movimentos sociais, cientistas e políticos do Norte Global, que disseminam uma visão ecológica de base ocidental e eurocentrada. A educação ambiental, por sua vez, emerge nos anos 70 do século XX como principal estratégia de conscientização social a fim de mudar o paradigma que produziu tal situação. Portanto, o objetivo deste trabalho é o de compreender as relações entre o Discurso Ecológico e a Educação Ambiental, evidenciando seus limites e contradições, tendo em vista o caráter desenvolvimentista e individualista que ambos evocam. Neste sentido, argumentamos que a teoria dos Commons, representada por autores como Elinor Ostrom, Pierre Dardot, Christian Laval e Silvia Federici, possibilita uma reorientação do olhar quanto ao uso dos recursos que chamamos de Bens Comuns, e em como isso pode potencializar processos educativos por meio de uma Educação Ambiental Crítica e Comunitária. Nossa abordagem de pesquisa é sociohistórica, o instrumento metodológico é a revisão bibliográfica e a perspectiva de análise está centrada na teoria interpretativa de Max Weber.

The socio-environmental crisis on our planet has reached levels considered irreversible. In this context, since the 20th century, strategies have been developed to change this situation, combining in what we call Ecological Discourse, a discourse constructed from the action of social movements, scientists and politicians from the Global North, which disseminate a vision Western-based and Eurocentric ecological Environmental education, in turn, emerged in the 70s of the 20th century as the main strategy for social awareness in order to change the paradigm that produced such a situation. Therefore, the objective of this work is to understand the relationship between Ecological Discourse and Environmental Education, highlighting their limits and contradictions, in view of the developmental and individualistic character that both evoke. In this sense, we argue that the theory of the Commons, represented by authors such as Elinor Ostrom, Pierre Dardot, Christian Laval and Silvia Federici, allows a reorientation of the view regarding the use of resources that we call Commons, and how this can enhance educational processes. through Critical and Community Environmental Education. Our research approach is socio-historical, the methodological instrument is the literature review and the analysis perspective is centered on the interpretive theory of Max Weber.
