Saudades, 4 de maio

Abstract

Este trabalho, em formato de reportagem em texto, aborda os acontecimentos ocorridos em maio de 2021 no município de Saudades, no oeste de Santa Catarina. A época, um jovem de 18 anos invadiu uma creche da cidade e assassinou três crianças e duas funcionárias. A reportagem busca identificar, a partir de entrevistas realizadas in loco com diferentes pessoas envolvidas no ocorrido, as possíveis motivações do crime e descrever como a comunidade local está lidando com as feridas deixadas pela tragédia.

This project, in a written report format, is related to the events that took place in the 4th of May 2021, in the town of Saudades, west of the southern state of Santa Catarina, Brazil. At the time, an 18 years old young man invaded a town's kindergarten and killed three children and two workers. The report tries to identify, based on on-the-ground interviews with different people involved in the events, the possible motivations for the crime. It also describes how the local community is dealing with the open wounds left by the tragedy.
