ARQUITETURA SUSTENTÁVEL: UM NOVO OLHAR SOBRE AS UNIDADES DE TRIAGEM DE RESÍDUOS SÓLIDOS

Abstract

O artigo tem por objetivo propor um novo olhar para as unidades de triagem e sua inserção na cidade, a partir de um projeto arquitetônico agregando funções que possam proporcionar a integração e interação social entre os catadores e os moradores dos bairros onde estão inseridos, potencializando a qualidade do trabalho desenvolvido pelos cooperados e aumentando a quantidade de resíduos triados através da conscientização. Apresenta uma breve revisão bibliográfica sobre os resíduos sólidos urbanos, a gestão dos resíduos sólidos na cidade de São Leopoldo/RS e da unidade de triagem de resíduos sólidos urbanos (UTRSU) Cooperativa Univale. Os resultados apontam para melhorias na infraestrutura da UTRSU e nas condições de trabalho, na integração dos seus associados com os moradores do bairro, e, portanto, uma contribuição para a produção de cidades sustentáveis, saudáveis e inclusivas.

The article aims to propose a new look at the sorting units (waste) and their insertion in the city, from an architectural project adding functions that can provide the integration and social interaction between the collectors and the residents of the neighborhoods where they are inserted , enhancing the quality of the work developed by the members and increasing the amount of waste sorted through awareness. It presents a brief bibliographic review on solid urban waste, solid waste management in the city of São Leopoldo/RS and the urban solid waste sorting unit (UTRSU) Cooperativa Univale. The results point to improvements in the infrastructure of the UTRSU and in working conditions, in the integration of its associates with the residents of the neighborhood, and, therefore, a contribution to the production of sustainable, healthy and inclusive cities.
