As
ecológica: IFC-Videira, estágio primário e maior ação antrópica (Área A) e RPPN-Natureza
Halictidae. As espécies mais abundantes foram: Tetragonisca fiebrigi, com 30 indivíduos;
Neocorynura oiospermi (23); Augochlora sp.3 (22); Dialictus sp., (16); e Nannotrigona
testaceicornis, (16).

Decline in insect populations and the recognition of their ecological functions in different
ecosystems has attracted attention of researchers around the world. Bees are a group of
pollinating insects that are extremely important for the maintenance of natural and cultivated
vegetation. The state of Santa Catarina is inserted in the Atlantic Forest biome, currently one
of the most threatened on the planet due to anthropic action. The main objective of this work
was to characterize the species of bees that occur in this region and the plants that they visit. In
this study, through active search, bees were collected on flowers, inflorescences, colonies and
hives, in the town of Videira. The species of two areas with different stages of ecological
succession were also compared: IFC-Videira, primary stage and greater anthropic action (Area
A) and RPPN-Natureza Viva, secondary stage and lesser anthropic action (Area B). 36 bee
species were identified, and the families represented with the largest number of species were
Apidae and Halictidae. The most abundant species were: Tetragonisca fiebrigi, with 30
individuals; Neocorynura oiospermi (23); Augochlora sp.3 (22); Dialictus sp., (16); and
Nannotrigona testaceicornis, (16). The results show consistency with the apifauna studies in
Santa Catarina. The compared areas showed occurrences of species with different habits: area
A with more social species; area B with more solitaries and kleptoparasites species. The
contribution of this work are improvements to the study of the apifauna of the encompassed
region aiding its future preservation. |
