Comala: aviso de incêndio

Abstract

O presente trabalho lê os fantasmas de Pedro Páramo à luz dos Espectros de Marx, de Jacques Derrida, das teses ?Sobre o conceito de história?, de Walter Benjamin, das reflexões de Georges Didi-Huberman em Diante do tempo, a fim de explorar a relação entre imagem e política a partir da retórica que nos propõem o fantasma e os espectros: morte, regresso, imortalidade, ameaça, conjuro, ruína e passagem. Porque os fantasmas nos instigam a pensar o outro, a lidar com o outro que não está mais aí e a ouvir o que dele ainda ecoa. Ler este romance de Juan Rulfo como um aviso de incêndio é lê-lo como uma distopia, é propor os fantasmas de Comala como imagens com potência política, ou seja, as imagens, os fantasmas, como uma categoria política, no intuito de ouvi-los para jogar luz em algumas tensões de nosso tempo.

Abstract: The present work aims to read the ghosts of Pedro Páramo in the light of the Specters of Marx, of Jacques Derrida, and of the theses ?On the concept of history?, of Walter Benjamin, in order to explore the relation between image and politics from the rhetoric which propose us the ghost and the specters: death, return, immortality, threat, spell, ruin and passage with the aproach of the reflections of Georges Didi-Huberman in Devant les temps. Because the ghosts instigate us to think the other, to deal with the other who is not there and to listen to what still echoes him. To read this novel by Juan Rulfo as a fire alarm is to read it as a dystopia, to propose the ghosts of Comala as images with political power, that is, images, ghosts, as a political category, to throw light on some of the tensions of our time.
