A função social da Educação Infantil: um estudo bibliográfico e de aproximação ao fórum regional de Educação Infantil da grande Florianópolis

Abstract

A presente pesquisa teve por objetivo fazer um levantamento de artigos acadêmicos no banco de dados do Scientific Eletronic Libray Online (SciELO) para sistematizar e conhecer como vem sendo apresentada a função social da educação infantil, mais precisamente, nos últimos 5 anos, ou seja, no período de 2008 a 2012. A escolha dos artigos foi feita aos poucos, considerando o que cada artigo focava e se tratava realmente, no corpo do texto, sobre essa questão principal. Um percurso histórico também foi feito, com o intuito de situar como se iniciou o atendimento às crianças e o surgimento das instituições de educação infantil no Brasil, bem como as mudanças de concepção com relação à infância, criança e educação. Optou-se por constituir um diálogo com o Fórum Regional de Educação Infantil da Grande Florianópolis e, por meio da participação em alguns encontros e da realização de entrevistas semiestruturadas com os participantes e representantes de municípios, buscou-se uma aproximação sobre o que se tem pensado e discutido acerca da educação infantil, das políticas que defendem a área bem como as práticas pedagógicas de dentro das instituições em âmbito regional. Com as análises dos artigos acadêmicos e as entrevistas, podemos dizer que ambos caminham na mesma direção, fazem um percurso histórico da construção da educação infantil, e estão sempre questionando e pensando através das políticas públicas, dos direitos das crianças e das práticas pedagógicas qualificar os momentos educativos com as crianças. Tanto os artigos quanto o movimento do Fórum nos fazem refletir acerca do universo da educação infantil, das crianças e do que tem sido feito nos espaços institucionais.

This research aimed to conduct a survey of scholarly articles in the Scientific Eletronic Libray Online (SciELO) to systematize and to understand how the social function of early childhood education has been presented, more precisely, in the last 5 years, is, in the period 2008-2012. The choice of items was piecemeal, considering what each article focused and it was actually in the text on this key issue. A historical journey was also made in order to place as initiated service to children and the emergence of the institutions of child education in Brazil, as well as design changes in relation to childhood, child and education. We opted to establish a dialogue with the Regional Forum on Early Childhood Education in Florianópolis, and by participating in some meetings and conducting semi-structured interviews with participants and representatives of municipalities, we sought an approximation of what has thought and discussed about early childhood education, policies that defend the area as well as the pedagogical practices within institutions at the regional level. With the analysis of academic articles and interviews, we can say that both go in the same direction, make a historic journey of the construction of early childhood education, and are always questioning and thinking through public policy, children's rights and pedagogical practices qualify educational moments with the children. Both articles about the movement of the Forum make us think about the world of early childhood education, children and what has been done in institutional spaces.
